My grandparents ordered their house from Sears and grandpa and my great uncles built it over a summer weekend.

Damn thing still standing and is now I think on a historical register.

But today… we can do the same thing. You want a single or double wide?

Glad you’re here! I was a Reddit 1%’r and left when the3rd party apps were killed off. Wasn’t sure where I was going to go but I knew it wasn’t there.

Ram across a post on arstechnica about this app and the feddiverse, and here I am.

I can tell the paint isn’t even dry yet but damn, I’m happy to be here, too.

117 votes and it affects over 200 people?

What fucking losers not stepping up and voting?!

50% of them like: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know three public school teachers personally.

One left teaching all together for a corporate job that paid better and had better benefits without dealing with helicopter parents. Straight up loved teaching, loved her kids, but the parents can fuck right off.

Another is a special needs teacher with twenty years experience and is seeing her budget slashed because the school district just built a huge new high school to consolidate three other school buildings into. Fancy sports complex, too. Oh and she has 20% more kids next year without a teaching assistant.

The third is resigned because they had a kid who has some behavioral issues and has grabbed her breasts and buttocks multiple times without the administration supporting. I’m sure there’s a lawsuit brewing there.

So at any point, feel free to attend your school board meetings and vote for school board members… it won’t fix funding or senior level leadership issues. State governments will reneg on funding when a new administration gets elected, and we’ll continue to get property tax levies to shore up the budget shortages.

I remember her getting re-elected.

Jesus Christ, her district must be frighteningly dumb.

Heh, yeah except instead of a pool table they brought in a Chexx bubble hockey game… and got the cheap one without the volume control on it. So randomly thoughtout the day you’d hear the digital organ playing duh duh dud did duh DUH! Until someone unplugged it.

Finally someone took it apart and wired in a cheap volume knob but it didn’t solve the sounds of two competitive players cussing at each other for spinning the players.

It’s built into the radio system and uses the same cellular modem that Toyota uses to provide connected services. So they figure just make it another feature they can sell you another subscription.

Thanks for this!

Maybe this is why Leinie’s Summer Shanty gives me the shits every damn time.

Also I wonder if this includes Sours?

Oh this was after they tore down all the walls and cubes and turned it into an open office.

So it didn’t matter where it was unless you had good headphones - which everyone did.

Super cool, thanks!

Nah, I’m with you too.

Man, this takes me back to when I hooked my BBS up to fidomail in the late 80’s early 90’s. Same growing pains but the hackers (in the original sense of the word) will prevail.

I’m a data center nerd and love to know what makes this tick, if you shared this info already can you point me towards it? I’m new around here but I have a very strong desire to help this work - I’m stoked about this new thing!

Also thank you for this thing here!
