24C? Man I'm in one of the coldest cities on the planet. I get heat stroke immediately any time I approach past 30°N. Even I don't feel hot until around 28C or so.

My fiancee is Turkish and she gets cold at 16 though so I guess you must somehow be further north than I am.

You know how many comments I've seen from lefties calling him a liberal plant? Never gonna happen.

I don't wanna be that guy but it's funny to me that this is suddenly true after many statements that there is no video and after GenAI/deepfake has hit the mainstream.

Hehehe never apply to Canonical. I sat 6 interviews, 2 psychometric evals including an IQ-adjacent evaluation, submitted a take home assessment and was asked about my high school math grades just to be offered a job with a more advanced title paying 20k less than what I was currently making. I only sat it through because I wanted to post the offer on glassdoor/levels so others didn't have to waste their time either. (And because I wanted to see if I could pass their famously grueling application process)

So yes I've seen companies (big ones) do this sort of thing.

Mulaney then shared an anecdote about how he and his son, who is nearly 3, like to play baseball in their front yard.

“We’re just two guys hitting Wiffle balls badly and yelling ‘Good job’ at each other,” he said. “It’s sort of the same energy here at Dreamforce.”

LOL

Worse, they proactively passed legislation authorizing the invasion of The Hague in case a US official was ever brought there for war crimes. Thank dubya and the 2002 congress.

Real tweet, fake text... no way any NATO leader would say "Europe is going to pay BIG" it's just too Trump. Same with the incessant comma splices.

But big congrats to Trump for ruining the information space so completely that I genuinely cannot tell what's real anymore.

The only source cited is a blog which cites a blog + raw acquisition numbers from government data, none of which contain ANY reference to "guided missiles" or "artillery" as the original substack claims.

As best I can tell, this claim was just kind of made up, then referenced by a blog, and now by the daily beast. We're like 3 days out from NYT writing this and referencing this daily beast article.

Fuck this administration for all the illegal and inhuman shit they're doing, but I'm almost certain this is just made up. They definitely have spent a shitload of money on weapons and equipment (bad) but theres no proof they've bought explosives and chemical weapons (beyond pepper spray)

Except those who dissented publicly, right? Pretty sure Sotomayor was pretty publicly pissed off at the rest of the court.

First Panama. Then Greenland. Then us.

We must speak up now before there is no one to speak for us.

ITT: a bunch of people who didn't read anything other than "AI" and got mad.

He thinks Rust is one of the few realistic ways to slash the class of bugs that come from C's traditional error-handling and resource-management pitfalls.

Idk why everyone's upset about this. It's not wrong. The headline sucks, but the statement "Rust makes it harder to introduce bugs that an LLM will later find" seems pretty objectively true.

Hey remember when Biden actually did something about this and Trump repealed it immediately?

I'm sure declaring "drugs are cheaper now" will work just as well as it did last time he signed this EO.

You need to do it because it's an unnecessary blocker. That's the point. Poor people disproportionately struggle to jump through the hurdles in place for voting, and Poor people disproportionately vote D. R loves to make voting harder under the auspices of "fraud prevention".

I can't remember a period of time with so many anti-trust and other consumer protection lawsuits from the FTC and DOJ.

Shame we got to this state, but Biden admin is deeply based.

$10 a day child care was pretty good. I'm a fan of the dental coverage too. The carbon tax actually reduced our emissions for the first time and was overall a net financial benefit for most Canadians.

He wasn't amazing but he was not nearly the washout people act like he is.

As soon as a progressive wins a seat, if they don't fix 100% of problems within 30 seconds, they're part of The Establishment and are dead to the movement.

Let's see if the Democrstic Party holds to their unofficial stance that this race is effectively a referendum on the party's future.
