It’d be really great to not have to translate from Fahrenheit and the imperial system too.

I always used to state both on Reddit. It’d be nice if people could think about doing that too…you know, given how many more people use Celsius/metric. No shade ❤️ it just gets annoying that it’s the default.

This is such a big win! I really hope that capacity increases on kbin. Perhaps the mods/admins can organise a donation link? I'm sure there are many of us that would be happy to donate to improve server capacity. (Provided it was secure etc etc)

I feel like this person's comment re the AMA deserves a wider audience 😂

Rexxit 😂 love it

Would definitely be keen to see a Rimworld sub (magazine? whatever it's called lol) on here!

Right now Against the Storm, tonight Diablo 4 ☺️

Great to see Reddit mods moving over! 🥰

I'm living in hope that this will catch on and Christian and the other third-party developers will work on Fediverse apps...

Yeah I'm still pretty confused tbh! So I'm on kbin, you have kbin next to your name too OP, but then the sidebar has reddthat.com and linux@lemmy.ml?

Does this mean we both signed up at kbin but the subreddit equivalent is linux (on Lemmy.ml)? But then how does reddthat.com come into it?

How would people feel about posting their most upvoted OC from Reddit onto kbin/lemmy? It could be a good way to promote engagement for the first little while. We could have a tag for it or something?

Agree. Kind of relatedly, anyone know what boost does versus an upvote?

Yeah for sure! Slay the Spire and The Binding of Isaac feel very much like that too. So satisfying to break haha.

The issue I’ve always had is that I can’t sleep without noise. Without a show/podcast, my brain just won’t stop…wanting to think? But with something on, it’s like it goes into passive mode and falls asleep. It’s the difference between falling asleep in 15 minutes versus staying awake until 3AM 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yesss please do! Cockatoos are so cute 🥹🇦🇺

12 years too. Really hoping this works out as a replacement, but I'll miss Apollo greatly 🙁

I’ve left! I’ve found a good balance by having an account for both Kbin and Mastodon. It might be redundant once Kbin federates better with Mastodon content and has a good app, but for now it’s nice to have.

Holy shit! I had no idea it was that powerful. That's a little tempting. I could never properly get into the Switch because I really love niche Indie titles on Steam, but Steam deck would solve that...hmm...

Yeah I’m honestly sad, but more sad about Apollo than Reddit. Seeing the big subs join the protest and seeing the activity here has been a nice silver lining though. I just don’t want to see the really specific/niche groups on Reddit die. So I hope they come here 🥺

That’s so exciting 😊 You guys should consider opening donations when you do. I’m sure people will want to help you guys out

I'd be keen for RStudio!
