The alt-text panel hints at this, but the problem with making up a fake group everyone can hate is that racists and bigots will stretch the definition to include whatever they want.

We've seen it with "antisemitism" being redefined to include any criticism of Israel, and before that "pedophilia" being redefined to include drag queens and parents supporting their trans children. For that reason, hatred like this should not be encouraged, even if it's imaginary.

This is one of those times where seeing it all written out feels redundant, but you know if those examples weren't there people would be asking if one book cost £0.5.

It isn't called a genetics pagent. Beauty is already subjective enough without layering your myopic view of race on top of it.

When you open the site via the Gmail app, go to the ... menu in the upper right. You should have an option to open the site in your default browser, which should keep your session active when you get the code.

Agreed. The OP makes it sound like you should only take advice from successful people, but successful people might just be lucky. We should also be careful to not take investment advice from lottery winners.

I tried this out by searching for Amazon, and if this website was all you knew, you'd come away thinking it was a rather left leaning company, with a donation distribution of 68% Democrat and 32% Republican. That may or may not be true, but it ignores all of the hostile working conditions and anti-union behavior they are responsible for.

Just saying, don't rely solely on this app for evaluating companies.

I've started using the Qobuz store to slowly build back up my digital music library. Every month, I take what I would have spent on Spotify and spend it on flac files instead.

The most positive response listed was for "Dynamic difficulty adjustment" (but still, only 25% has any positive response). On one hand, that sounds okay because it's a mostly invisible change that could smooth out a single player experience. But the more I thought about, I wondered what generative AI would be doing that isn't already possible with normal programming logic.

Even assuming it did work, and was able to turn the balance knobs to make things easier or harder, it would destroy our common understanding of challenges in games. Being skilled enough to defeat Malenia would have no meaning if the fight was constantly rebalancing itself. People already brag about how they defeated Radhan before he was nerfed, now imagine that for every boss, oh, and there's no objective way to know which version of the fight is the "real" one. As with everything genAI related, it turns real expressions of our humanity and turns it into meaningless mush.

Avocado doesn't work like that. It doesn't start ripening until it's picked. Can't help you with the Ohio part though.

Do you have any examples of this? Because my experience is the opposite. It's the perception that your group is normal, the "default", and tearing down all of these other groups using phrases exactly like the ones in the comic.

Is the city council under the impression that tourists will arrive, fail to find a tour guide, then just shrug and go home? I agree that tourist congestion has gotten worse in recent years (a friend of mine recently moved, citing this exact reason), but this is going to do exactly nothing to stop it.

I read at the same speed that the words would be spoken aloud. My SO tells me this is quite slow. I can force myself to read faster, but I find that the color of language is lost when I don't include the right pauses and intonations.

I'm not saying you have to like Seinfeld or anything, but I wouldn't consider it embarrassment comedy. It's more about the gang being a bunch of sociopaths, like an early version of IASIP.

What type of Chromecast do you use? I recently bought a Chromecast Ultra for a new TV after being happy with a secondhand one for years (3rd gen, I think). The difference in UI was such a disappointing step down. I don't want a home screen with apps and ads, I just want something I can stream to from my phone! And I can't say for certain, but it also feels like I get more ads on YouTube compared to using the older Chromecast.

Better yet, hire more before the workload increases so you aren't training newbies during crunch time.

Thank you for posting this! I had a vague recollection there was something scummy about Brave, and I was surprised to see it recommended in so many of the "Which browser should I use?" posts. It's really handy to have a chronical of bullshit like this to point to when it comes up

Unless there's some context I'm missing, that business model sounds... reasonable?

What you're describing just sounds like advertisement.

Well, according to whatever panel was judging this competition, she had all of those things. But you weren't talking about that. You said she isn't "physically or genetically" Japanese, and that that was what "pagents are about".
