Almost yes. In the "feed" (so combined + subscribed + newest) the sorting uses the date of when it was last boosted. This is so that the user gets content which was boosted by followees recently. The downside is that the query can not differentiate between boosted by followees and boosted by someone unrelated.
kwin_wayland supports launching Wayland displays inside a Wayland display. This can be used to launch KDE Plasma inside these windowed displays, and that recursive.
A GitHub with the script is here.
A friend of mine and I had a discussion why Browser add workspaces or side-panel like views inside them as I think the usage of multiple windows archives the same effect: separating a bunch of tabs.
They had the argument that it benefits as many windows get hard to handle when you try to find the right one in the taskbar after minimizing one.
So I had the idea "That's a good point. But why limit it to Browsers and Co and wait for them to implement such stuff (other example is tmux with terminals)". So I started researching and found a Mastodon post (sorry, but I forgot where it was) that showed a Plasma shell inside a Wayland window. With some tinkering I came up with this script.
Now to answer your question: it can help to organize a lot of windows, but each Plasma instance takes about 200 MB RAM and also on my computer the main Plasma instance kept crashing after some minutes.

Edit: trying to get the image to show on Lemmy
Thanks for posting this ^^
The tool is made by me, but I somehow didn't consider posting about it.
Attention everyone, make sure to set the coordinates of the template image to 0,0 when using Cotemplate. Multiple people already started drawing with offset because of this.
I'm happy that my tool is useful for some, so thanks for brining it up :)
@grant@toast.ooo I would be glad if it gets more attention. The usecase described by misericordiae is exactly one I had in mind (another one is that finding free areas is less difficult with a global template). If you need any more information before linking it somewhere public, feel free to comment or DM.
How would you compare Elixir with Kotlin (or similar) in terms ease of use and efficiency?
Post with more details (feel free to comment feedback).
I really have no idea.
Also I have to admit that my approach is quite conservative.
Not every mesa update may be incompatible with the freeworld packages, but my package holds them back until RPMFusion published an update themselves.
Would fit very well, but kinda hard to animate with ASCII or Unicode half-block char :D
The palette for color-picking. Also, ze Germans have another version (with RGB codes):

They said Diaspora never gained support, not Friendica.
Thanks :D
This is part of "making threads and posts more consistent in Combined view". Threads have an icon there (newspaper, image, link), so now posts (and post comments when "show boost of people you follow" is enabled) also have their icon indicating the type of content.
The RC2 release now gives users an option to switch back to the old layout. It is in the Theme settings (gear on the right side on desktop).
Thank you very much. I created the post.
The issue that Lemmy is not showing the link of an image is also attached was already reported by us. According to the GitHub issue history it was recently resolved, so it should work in the next Lemmy release.
Lemmy seems to just take the first item there and then abort if it's an image not a link.
That is correct. But so reordering would result in losing the image. I linked to the issue at Lemmys GH and it was marked as resolved just recently, so they should be able to consume multiple attachments soon.
I don't understand why Mbin is using source instead of url.
This I also don't know, but as we also put it in the attachments, it should be fine.
This is a known bug which I only noticed after creating the release. So I'm glad that I didn't enable the feature for all by default. Another reason for it not being on by default is that it creates additional load on the database for every load of the combined page (if sorted by new).
thanks for using Leebra!
