Working on more EOC stuff, big things to come for it to give people examples.

Really excited about all the mapgen stuff recently!

I hadn't even considered the layer of caching buildings and tracking them together, just the fundamentals of having temperature propagate from sources without being a huge resource hog. Stuff like what you've suggest would help but we'd need a bunch of different solutions I think to make it performative.

Also as always with open source there needs to be a will to do it.

Unfortunately those old school labs are kinda legacy content on their way out. They are hard coded in C++ instead of using our modern map making systems so a lot of their content isn't super cohesive.

There are a few more modern facilities that may provide more joy / excitement though 😁

Yeah there has been thoughts on making this better but it's a lot of work to solve in an efficient way.

If it still works the same as it did a while back, you need to have certain skill levels to notice it on Cranberry. Otherwise you need to keep progressing the Hub standard quests.

Mods become out of date very quickly which means the hard part of most old mods is manually editing them to work, not installing.
