I would say "cursive is how adults write, you'll need to know it", but that wasn't true then either.
Joplin for notes, and Rclone drastically improves any cloud services.
Mine makes noises like "Its-a me, Mario!"
I still love all of the 90s FPS games like Doom and Quake.
I was not thrilled with Cosmic after upgrading Pop! but switching DEs on Linux is very easy so it wasn't a huge issue. I think Cosmic could be cool given more development, it just needs time. Though Pop! making it their default seems like a bad idea for them, its one of the beginner friendly distros that always gets recommended to new Linux users and now that's going to be their first impression.
Duckduckgo has an email redirect thing where you can make temporary addresses that forward to your normal one.
I always assumed it was shorthand for an html close tag like , so I'm going with "/s".
Until markdown gets a sarcasm thing at least.
"Defenestrate". Meaning to throw someone or something out of a window.
I'm working on a motion comic! I'm trying to convert a comic that I drew a few years ago into a video format. I've never done this before, so we'll see how it goes.
Synfig might be what you're looking for.
I don't know if this helps, but if you use DuckDuckGo as a default search engine in your browser, its easy to look things up on Wiktionary using !wt. And yeah, Wiktionary is awesome and very underappreciated.
Heretic and Hexen! Not as remembered as Doom but still great.
OpenTracks works for running and includes maps
Its probably my favorite scifi series of all time. I recommend it to everyone (unless they're creeped out by spiders).
Empire of the Dawn, the third book in the Empire of the Vampire series that just recently dropped. Which I am quite digging, a big epic fantasy series about vampires that is really engaging and well written.
That game ruled, I remember one of the tracks had a huge hidden stunt room you could find.
Old school FPS games. Doom, Quake, Unreal, etc. They're just simple, cathartic stress relief.
Originally I switched just because I didn't have a Windows install available and Linux was convenient enough to just download and stick on there. But then once I got used to using it I massively preferred it. I'm the opposite of what you're describing, I don't want "problem solving and tinkering", I like Linux because it basically just does what I want it to do. Windows does what Microsoft wants it to do lol.
Medito and InsightTimer are great free alternatives
