The shorts have four holes: waist, tail, and two legs. You run a zipper from the waist to the tail along the back side. Miss diplodocus steps into the shorts then they ride up the legs and wrap around the backside to be zipped

I haven't had any problems with mine, but i have used it sparsely since getting it years ago.
