I don't think anyone should be completely dependent on another, including for retirement. I feel sad for people who are and don't have any other plan. Hopefully it all works out because if it doesn't, that's really hard for them.

One of the characteristics I don't like and find very suspect about AI is how it mimics humans so as to fool people. Many people are genuinely fooled. And this serves the purpose to make us think it's sentient and powerful, as opposed to a tool. That's insidious.

I wanted to change a restaurant reservation I'd made online so I called them ON THE PHONE since online wasn't an option. I got an AI pretending to be human... The worst part was it had pretend typing noises. I don't mind that it's an AI (kinda) but the pretence bothered me and made me think less of the restaurant.

I think it's opposite sides... One is telling lies and being believed until not, so that's you, don't tell lies or you won't be believed eventually. The other is telling the truth and not being believed, so don't dismiss another person's story unless you know it to be untrue just because everyone else doesn't believe them. I think they're both good lessons.
