I am absolutely not terribly invested here. But I wanted to kick something around (I opened the wiki and just decided I don't care that much to invest time into this but it is a thought kicking around my brain so I figured I'll express it here) - I am wondering if the school that did this is relatively wealthy. As Macbooks aren't cheap, and I think most schools were tossing around chromebooks instead right? So perhaps the reason why nobody ultimately got in the appropriate amount of trouble for this crime is because they themselves were people of a certain status. Or knew how to grease the right palms.

It's a protest. I mean pride itself is a protest for the rights of the LGBTQA+ So like...what!? When did we stop permitting a wide variety of opinions, ideas and expressions? So freakin' bananers.

Ty for this by the by =) I see it's teeny-tiny, and that it's not so much that the soft tissue was found, but that the outline of its internal organs were left on record from lack of compression. I'm not sure how that happened, let alone how someone found such a small thing.

It's kinda weird because like...America is super big and super stretched apart. And we really did put off viable transit for so long. I am not really sure what else to say, because it makes me sad. But I am living in the suburbs for the first time in a hundred years and it feels so lonely out here. Like everyone is participating in their daily cycles, but ultimately everyone is an isolated bear in a cave. Likewise there are no sidewalks, and the few kids I do see playing are constantly wandering the streets that are filled with mega-trucks. I sort of feel like I entered one of the layers of hell, and want to escape. But for now I am here, and perhaps I won't be in the future. But where I am at isn't really even all that urbanized as a whole. So, shrugs.

And I am not saying lay concrete down on every corner. And I do think that urban spaces are filled to the brim with a lot of toxins. And lack a lot of nature, outside of pigeons and a couple of trees per block. I don't know as a whole. It feels like we expanded too much as a people. Which makes me feel frustrated yet again. So I'm just gunna sit here and let you wizards wiz it up. Cause I can't seem to get past the first part which is valid but not really conducive to anything.

I worked at a university at one point in my life, and they were quite proud about their recycling plan. The janitors though, would just take the trash and the recycling and put the two bags together and throw them both away. I never really lived anywhere that recycled outside of the West Coast. But is it actually being recycled here? Is this the 9%?

Aww man, this sounds fucking awful - but 10/10 just accepting myself. Because

a) you know what to look for when you are doing yourself dirty
b) you know what to not accept when others are doing you dirty
c) you know what to fess up over when you do others dirty
d) you can self-regulate within your own control "adulting"
e) you have sooo much less shame about existing

Second most, Adderall XR. It'll knock your ass out at the end of the day, so you're not up at 2 am snickering about something stupid or waking up feeling like some sort of cave-goblin and hating life because you stayed up to 2 am snickering about something stupid. But you gotta figure out what works for you. Also your dosage. Also, don't listen to people on Youtube. Half of them are probably shills, bots or agents of chaos and the majority of people on Youtube (as a whole) suck. They're always trying to sell you something, or be overly dramatic to entertain. But they don't act like real humans. I like weird music and long-form essays and I think without those two being on Youtube I wouldn't touch the place because I can't stand seeing videos with pictures like "WOAH! 100% QUICKER WAY TO REVERSE YOUR WHAT!?" and the person in the picture is going ٩(☉‿☉)ง!!!!

Follow what feels right to you though, you don't have to listen to me. I'm just some asshole on the internet =P

For me, it was a punk ass who would steal stuff and call me his friend. Although I don't really care (only in that indignant small child way), I did tell my partner just the other day that "I bet you his ass is in jail." Well he is, in fact, he's actually in prison for murder. So yeah, that was a thing.

Yeah, see. I've seen some schools in my travels that make me want to slap someone. Because I am astonished at how far the haves and the have nots are apart. But also, I'd say in general whenever the sentence never seems to align with the punishment you can bet there's some classist mechanisms in the works.

Gunna sneak in here, because I clearly don't know when to quit - and say the funniest thing is that up until like...now - where middle class folks are seemingly just as heavy as impoverished folks - I think the reason why so many poor folk were always so heavy is because you literally never get real food. All of it's some processed super high-salt slop that you can't really run off of. And when you're hungry - you don't really run well. And it feels like you're really eating food, but you sure as hell never are. Outside of like...holidays maybe. But even then - it's a lot of canned shit. It's why I am a huge proponent of the "immigrant/fob" diet. Of like - eating simple homecooked meals. Like rice and beans all the way, add a veggie and you're clutch - and an apple for desert? Choice! But yeah, everyone I grew up around was fatter than shit. And it's cause not a soul ever was eating food. And the produce we could get could fit in a deli shelf. And I think about it so often, like - how the fuck does America get away throwing away so much actual food (worked at grocery stores before and we trash a shitton of food) - but we can't be bothered to give real food to a large percentage of our population? It's fucking naners. I bet you this event meant nothing at the time, but floated up like cream when you needed it - and it's funny how stuff works like that retroactively teaching you lessons. Hahahaha! You got this king of kings!

One thing I could mention that was crazy was right after Trump had been elected. I went to the Women's March in Chicago and all kinds showed up. But the crowd that had gathered was more than could be handled, so they shut it down. But then everyone started marching anyways. And we all went in this large square, ending at the Trump Tower. There were so many signs, and even though I had a really basic phone (like actual dumb phone) I pulled off some pictures that I still look back at them in awe. One of the sillier things that happened there were these two white chicks were dancing together on top of trash cans singing negro spirituals and myself and these two black chicks in front of me who were slipping through the crowd all laughed our asses off. Towards the end, my friends and I split and I hopped up into The Cultural Center and looked outwards at the dispersing crowd. And I took a video on my fantastically dumb phone, and it captured so perfectly the chaos of the event paired with the beauty of that city. But it was also so surreal in some way, as I was the only one around at the time. Not even the guards were there. And it was so silent. And I sat in a room filled with quilts, and stared out at the city I loved and felt so much pride for the people who came together to try and show the world that they don't buy Trump's bullshit.

I mean also not to brag, but we scared his ass off when he came through =P! So yeah, it was all really nice to see. And it was completely non-violent. Which I also like, because as protests went on things got grottier and grottier until whole cities were total chaos pits. But it was a nice thing to experience.

My two cents, although this is just coming from my brain bin, is that many folk's benefits were cut as social services were tailed back. When at risk communities, who already lack a lot of the everyday resources of middle class+ ares (which are predominantly white), lose even more of their resources it affects things - like health. To have healthy children, you've got to eat. A lot of people I knew had their stamps reduced or removed, especially senior citizens. I mean I would see seniors begging on street corners just to live. But not just that, a lot of lower class people are stressed. They're in survival mode. Add to that multi-layered race issues (Are you "white" enough to be hired? How far are you from the money? Who depends on you? What plates do you keep spinning and what plates do you drop? Etc., etc., etc. - micro-aggressions. Outright aggression-aggresions.) and health issues that tend to be associated with certain areas, ethnicities and classes - you've got a powder keg of issues that absolutely can lead to more premies.

*Mind you, I agree that they could have been more focused in their findings. Take any of those up there that could be more quantifiable and then run with it. They do note though that bigots do affect health. And bigots came out in spades after Trump got elected. And like idiots smashed people up, and walked around holding freakin' tiki torches. Like, what?

*p.p.s. - you're really seeing this on a large scale right now - all across the class lines. Because a lot of people are really not making it right now. And you've got the small set of folks who are just out here living life. And a slew of people living in active terror that the world is burning all around them because they are constantly panicking to pay the bills, eat two meals a day, and just mentally be okay.

Ah, I figured it had to be an abortion situation. Yeah, that's fucking awful. I am not really sure we decided to walk backwards as a people. But what we do about it from this point on is really in the hands of the voters.

Hot take, and I know that this isn't everyone's tippy top. But I have seen so many people who were once kids born to parents with addictions. And I am talking range alcohol, heroin, cigarettes, crack, meth, coke. How about if you know you're pregnant and you have a child that you would love to see flourish in the best of ways you just idk...eat food - stay away from high-stress situations, stop using the shit you're addicted to for at least the 9 months you're pregnant with your kid, and take multi-vitamins. Someone I love to death is dead because their birth defects leading to a premature death all because of cigarettes. I once knew a couple of sisters who were both crippled because their alcoholic mother. Someone I love can't breathe some days because of a birth defect. Crack babies and heroin babies are fucking INSANE to even comprehend and the people I have seen who have grown up from that have either had a feeling of profound loss in their lives or been up to absolutely no good. Same with the meth kids, and it's just awful to see kids - who have absolutely no future because their parents are tweakers. It's like seriously so fucking sad.

I can't speak on weed, because it's taboo and while clearly the science is forming - it's not a solid thing. But I can't imagine if all these other substances have done reprehensible harm people I love and know - that weed isn't right up there. Something I can state is that some people can be real assholes when they have to be sober, when they are addicted and that is one thing I know pretty well too. But eh, this is all opinion. I just you know, I can't comprehend how someone can't pump the breaks for at least 9 months. It's beyond me. But also, addiction is ugly and I for sure scrubbed crack out of a bathroom where a single mother was living because I suppose she went in there to smoke it and keep it "separate" from her kid.

I just hate that people always play at weed as being this innocuous thing. But also always say it does need to be legalized, along with all drugs. I am not sure how it'll work big picture but perhaps we could look to Portugal to get some clues.

As for me...I just experienced my least favorite sensation on the face of this planet. Or at least, that's what it felt like when I experienced it. It fills me with doom, and makes me want to rip off my own skin. In fact, that's what I imagine through flashes of what I can only describe as "pain" but can also describe as a "serious case of the yucks." I know it sounds like I am downplaying this, but legitimately I feel so unbelievably awful still. But it cools off after a while. But I have noticed it has gotten worse for me as I've gotten older. Maybe because I am not so mean to myself, and just accept my experiences as valid. But it's still hard, because it's something so casual for most. And it's like finger-rippingly awful to me.

I can still acknowledge that I am okay though, and that's pretty good. Phew!

Anyone else wanna share?

That's the thing that's messed up when people say crap like stealing is a moral imperative or people who steal think "they'll be alright, they'll just go get a new _." Of which I have seen both said in my lifetime. There is something that breaks when someone crosses your boundaries in a way that completely blindsides you. I don't really care what it is, but more often than not it's almost like it steals your faith in humanity. And that, you can work on getting back but it's never the same as it once was. Bug hugs, sorry you had to have your baby done like that. Assholes gunna ass. Ugh.
