AI is incapable of art. It is only capable of plagiarism. It combines the genuine novelty of its training data with the tiny seed of novelty provided in the prompts and configurations and framing it is given and outputs something that appears to be novelty but is actually just the product of the provided inputs, spiced with thoughtless and meaningless randomness.
Thanks for letting me and everyone else know you're childish and stupid enough to be worth blocking.
because we are expected to trust "the system" and not our own lying eyes. the system is working as intended.
First of all these are just guidelines not laws, and they seem fairly reasonable to me.
All #3 is really saying is "even if you personally know better, don't be an elitist asshole, the contributor may be an ignorant newbie (possibly even an actual child) trying to contribute the only way they know how, assume ignorance and educate them instead of attacking and shitting on them"
It isn't even saying you should consider (much less that you have to) accept their contribution. It just means try to remember that this is an actual community of actual humans and all of these humans were new once, and even if we remember being young and stupid ourselves, we weren't raised in an informational environment as hostile as the one the tech giants have caused children to be raised in today. People need to be deprogrammed, they're not going to come out of the box hating AI or even understanding it properly, they don't have the tools and the experience and the understanding, that doesn't make them failed humans, that makes them victims, and some of them need our help, not our hatred.
If somebody is trying to contribute to an open source project, even if it's in a stupid way, they're already inherently more salvageable than 99% of the people on the internet. You are doing yourself and everyone a disservice if you drive them away.
It's 2026 and I'm suddenly desperately interested in buying a flipphone from Commodore? What is even going on? Has reality itself completely jumped the shark?
Librem 5. It's alright, for what it is. I don't need a lot from a "phone", I hate them in general and try to minimize my use to the extent reasonably possible in this bizarro-land dystopia we live in.
Money's still money, and bankers gotta bank. Like George Carlin observed about all politicians: "They don't give a fuck about you"
They really love using immigrants as a scapegoat don't they?

No idea if they're compatible with the latest update (or each other, for that matter), but I enjoyed them, YMMV.
Also why does all the responsibility fall on CBC to provide local news coverage? My municipal government doesn't know how to run a facebook page much less organize community events. My local police department won't share anything with anyone, including reporters and even the fire department acts like everything they do is top-secret for national security. Governments, police and other emergency responders are a public service, same as CBC is, and being open and accountable to their communities should be part of their role too. It's not just "public relations" it needs to be part of their actual duty and purpose. Dumping all the responsibility on CBC's shoulders feels like there's a lot of buck-passing going on. It shouldn't take veteran investigative journalists working all over the country just to figure out what is going in a community. This is a multifaceted problem and other organizations that work in our communities need to be held accountable too.
I didn't know there still were android phones with custom ROM support but from what I understand the radio chip is a totally separate chip that is essentially a black box even in AOSP. I am far from an expert though, and I gave up on Android and all its related proprietary lockdown garbage a long time ago.
I very much doubt this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and causes us to rebel against the system and tear down these structures of oppression that benefit business and capital at the expense of people and humanity. But it could be, and that excites me.
Any chance of inviting Canada to join the EU so I can get my starter pack, please?
Dunking on tech giants is the only kind of spice that makes modern life palatable.
Good luck! Seems pretty solid otherwise and I hope you guys get the attention you deserve!
Looks interesting, wishlisted, but some feedback (although I'm not sure the Youtube compression algorithm is doing you any favours) is that the pixel art looks a bit badly scaled and muddied at times, it looks somewhat better in the static screenshots, you may want to look at what scaling filter you're using though because when I hear "pixel art" in a game I'm expecting some pretty crispy sprites.
Edit: Also I think that's supposed to say "Tavern" in the video under "Mix races, classes, and skills to create unique warrior squads."
Because we've been lied to and the whole food supply chain is rigged for a variety of complex and intertwined political reasons that make no sense and never did but served political purposes at various times. It's all fucked up, and that's on purpose, and that's the way they like it and as a reward for looking the other way, we get all the fresh fruits and vegetables we want at any time of year and if we have to tariff or bomb a few countries to make sure that happens then by god you'd better believe we will.
thanks for using Leebra!
