When I was younger, I also though I'd be cool to work in America, but once you learn a bit about their conditions, it's a big nope. Much better lifestyle in small cities with an average salary in EU and the 23 days vacation + 13 - 14 bank holidays. Mental health checks out. π
About the Prod on calls, even if you "volunteer", depending on the country and kind of job, they have to paid those "on call" hours even if there's no calls at the end, and if there's work required, the pay is higher.
I'm like you, I wouldn't exchange my free time no matter what. π€
"coger" means fuck in latin america, but not in Spain where we use it as "grab/pick" normally. It causes fun reactions to latinamericans visiting or living in Spain for sure as it's used a lot.
"correr" is also "run" in Spanish, we share a lot of words with Portuguese . π΅πΉ
Radom tapas is a thing in small places in Spain. Definitely my favourite, as usually is what they have just freshly made from the kitchen and not thinking is a wonderful perk. I'd go to a "random tea" place definitely
I'd bet it's missing sunlight, those things thrive in direct sun.
Second guess is that it's overwatered... does that pot drain well the water? it should definitely not be sitting in water and I would not water it very often.
It can be a mix of both things
I'd say movies and tv series are the blame to the youth wish to live there.. who hasn't dreamed to be in the NY of "Friends" per example?
Then you start thinking that they had huge apartments and were almost never working and that doesn't match with reality π€£
sounds like illegal indeed, you could've sue them to the work administration or whatever there is in the UK (I've worked there, but never had any issues on the working department... there's so little unemployment that if you're unhappy just go somewhere else π€·ββοΈ)
Thanks for the link. Not a bad price considering it's lego+nintendo, may do the trick as xmas present for my partner.
Although now that I dived into the lego website I'm in love with the retro NES tv with mario, which is way too expensive π π
Take the chance now to stablish rules for screenshots AND not allowing comics at the same time (I understand that it's what you meant by "cartoons", right?)
There is a community already for the latter here: !comics@lemmy.ml and if people like screenshots so much they can already create their own, as you said (def wont be joining that one myself π )
Seems to me like you know what is happening to your plant already by the phrase "I put my hoya outside".
Some plants can be outside, but if they are used to be inside and you change environment very quickly without adaptation period, they suffer. Yours seems like it got burned from the sun.
In any case hoya are resilient if they are a big plant like yours, just put it back where it was and keep taking care of it the same as before and it should recover. Try to not baby it in excess or overwater the plant, just leave it be and heal.
yep, people blinded by rage invest more time to flood places with their message. Sometimes with bots or multi accounts, which.. well, speaks for itself how sad it is.
And also that making up facts for discussion takes less time to do than a proper argumentation
thanks for using Leebra!
