I've been really enjoying beehaw so I definitely don't see myself leaving. However if reddit goes back on these changes I'll be happy just for my reddit widget if nothing else. Having a quick feed of gaming news on my phone home screen is something I've been so used to having. If the changes keep going I'll probably look into setting up some kind of widget with an rss feed or something.... Or make my own reddit widget with my own API key
I'm sure there is going to be a cheaper one later. With this being called the pro and all, but wow.... Lol....
I like VR. But it is still so niche. And a $3500 machine for a niche product in this economy is definitely a decision. Only thing I can think is they want the crazy early adopters onboard first to make some stuff for it, then when a cheaper one comes down the line it'll be more robust...
But yeah... Wow.....
I know how you feel. I was in a similar situation not long ago. The things I started with that I loved was shaving. I never used to shave body hair but it's mostly all gone now. Smooth legs are so nice and a fresh shave is still a reliable way to help with dysphoria for me.
I was lucky that I worked from home during covid during the early days of my transition, so I was able to grow my hair out, as I used to always keep it short. I know you said a fem hair style is probably not an option right now, but if simply growing it out is, then there is lots you can do in the comfort of your home that is easily undoable for when being around others.
And I 100% agree with everything else here so far too. Therapy has been massively important for my journey, and if that's an option I highly encourage you to seek someone. I was lucky that where I live there were therapists who specialized in gender.
Also, again if possible, find a queer community! I was pretty stagnanted in my transition for a while, until I found an amazing online queer community. Just being able to talk to others like me and be in a new space where they only knew me as who I really am, and not as my dead name, was immensely helpful.
I believe in you! Congrats on coming out to your friends! 🏳️⚧️💖
This game (Shadows of Doubt) is in early access but is super promising so far. I'm in love with it!
BRs are a game type that sounds awesome to me on paper but I never end up actually enjoying. Too much time with nothing happening with it all to just abruptly end. It's a cool idea I think. Just not for me
Things were pretty rough for me socially after I graduated. I immediately started to work at a job in town, while all my friends I made at school left. Then 6 months later the lockdowns started and any hope of meeting locals not from school faded. Fast forward 3 years. This month marks my first pride month being fully out, and I decided it was finally time to meet people again. I volunteered at all our local pride events and ended up meeting a ton of really amazing people. And I'm now planning on being involved beyond pride month and being a part of the org that ran our events
I really didn't read much for a bunch of my life. Now that I'm out of school I'm finally trying to read a bunch of stuff. I recently did all the cosmere stuff so I guess for now I'd have to say stormlight, and war breaker. Just love those books a lot. I'm sure my opinions will change as I keep reading a bunch though
That's understandable! I totally get you on the big discord communities. I was very much the same way... Until I found the one I'm on. And even then I felt like I was intruding for a while. I'm really happy you have good representation in your friend group though! 🥰
