True, Lemmy feels this way almost exclusively because it's small and hasn't been noticed by mainstream media enough. The second that changes this place will become what reddit was pre-ipo.
Dude, so many times I have encountered bad software lately, and I always thought, some Idiot must have used LLM for this. And I don't even know why. Everything that already was working good started breaking down for some reason. Why are devs wrecking their code base just to fix minor bugs?
People under appreciate how complex the life of animals is. I think people should pay attention to birds and animals around them more, they can amaze you sometimes.
And politically? Monopolies, and their lobbying. And not in a hypothetical sense. Look at samsung in south Korea and IndiGo flight incident recently in India, monopolies literally hold their Countries hostage and leaders look powerless against them.
Yeah but what do you want the kids to interact with? There's a lot of sfw stuff like politics and hate speech I don't want kids to be near of.
Kids having unsupervised access to internet is just a bad idea in my opinion, no matter safe you try to make it.
Also the moderation issue someone pointed here.
I like the parental control idea of yours, because of this reason. Atleast it helps to certain degree.

Yeah people say now devs have time for high level design but bro, you need experience to know about high level design. Like, I can think of hundred of different ways to design something, but all hundred would be shit compared to what a knowledgeable person would build. Also it won't be the job most people like
