this is fucking amazing
New York was one of the first states to bring back the death penalty so alongside it they made the definition of first degree murder very narrow. it includes killing a cop, murder for hire, and murder as an act of terrorism (they could probably technically argue for that one but I'd imagine theres clear precedent against it).
death penalty was abolished again in 2004
not just trauma but also heart problems that require medication...
incredibly fucked up but the hospital getting a slap on the wrist is a good first step at least.
what the fuck??? how did you not pull her aside and say "hey, not ok"??
p sure it's referencing flipping a lucky cigarette.
look up a guide on how to set up stremio with torrentio and realdebrid. takes all of 15-30 minutes to set up and $15 for 6 months of being able to stream practically anything all in one place. ad free
(I know not an answer but I figured an actual solution to the problem was preferable to a 20th person explaining enshittification lol)
eta the important part
that is the joke, 'twould be funny if they did the exact same thing again.
they've done a really good job culling the bots in osrs, imo the biggest hurdle in it is the long boring grinds it takes to get to midgame pvm where it starts getting really really fun.
I'd also say that if you think rs3 is the default game you are very mistaken

osrs has been the more popular game by far for almost a decade now.
a quick Google turned up nothing useful, what is DDD Day?
what do you mean by "1st date PC"?
can someone pls explain I don't understand
y'all I understand there are larger issues in the world but please let's not pretend that POC working in tech feel awesome about typing master/slave in the terminal, it's outdated and should be changed.
I think it needs to be defined with more specificity than "blatant doomerism", both to make it more clear when to enforce rather than "I know it when I see it" and also to prevent unfair bans to people talking about something that's a bummer in good faith.
I don't think an environment of toxic positivity is healthy and I fear such a broad definition could foster one, i.e. "oh I can't say that or I might get banned"
on the whole though I like the idea of an additional rule added of the sort. it doesn't seem like the person(s) in the first examples given was saying anything in good faith.
I also think the punishment should give a lot of grace, like first a warning and comment removal before any ban.
edit: a word
is this loss?
got a very sharp nose exhale outta that one
they're called lemmy communities, and there's plenty of interaction! honestly it reminds me of the old days on Reddit before it ballooned into the monster it is today, I legitimately prefer it in every way other than lacking the niche communities (looking at you !2007scape@lemmy.world >.>)
you can find good political discussion in !politicalmemes@lemmy.world or !news@lemmy.world
dunno if there's any good basketball communities tho, not my bag lol
they migrated to lemmy.world which a lot of people took issue with because the old 196 here on LBZ was one of the biggest non-LW communities (maybe the biggest non-LW community I'm not sure)
Goodbye
