Been running Bazzite as my gaming / daily driver since the Win10/11 fiasco. Don't think I'll go back. Sure, I've run into a few small problems, but overall it just works better and more smoothly than Windows. Hell, my controllers work flawlessly on Bazzite while on Win they still struggle to work with certain games consistently.

Killing off female characters for the sake of easy drama is especially prevalent in superhero comics, extending way before this specific issue (see Gwen Stacy to start). But this incident is what prompted fantastic writer Gail Simone to coin the phenomenon's comic-related incarnation.

It wasn't quite as simple as that. From what I remember, the rights to Watchmen were supposed to revert to him after the book went out of print. But DC just kept the book in print forever, denying Moore any say in what was done. Keep in mind this wasn't normally done at the time, it was a pretty underhanded move they pulled, especially after Moore did so much good work for them (Swamp Thing, Green Lantern, the Phantom Stranger, etc.).

I'll second Bazzite. I tried Pop!OS and had a handful of problems with it, but they all evaporated when I switched to Bazzite.

Hundreds of state department employees probably worked for 30 years on sanctions, diplomacy, and building trust to get that agreement. Trump blew it all up (including inflation and the economy) because that's how racist he is. Can't let a black man get a win, under any circumstances.

Dune: Adventures in the Imperium does a version of this. Extra successes on a challenge give the players Momentum points which they can use to generally make things better for them. But the GM has Threat points which make things harder for the players. Points can also be used to buy off bad outcomes or improve good ones.

But the most fun bit is that the GM can cash in a bunch of Threat to introduce a rival to the players into a scene. So their nemesis can drop in on the party where they're trying to gather allies to confront the nemesis.
