Im the king of denmark. I have accounts on a few other instances, all named danakongur lol

very sad. i can barely use lemmy.world communities as they take weirdly long to federate with my tiny instance. for example, from my instance i can only see the pinned posts on the new 196, and it has been pending subscription since yesterday.

i am basically the only user of my instance. it's slow and i have to think about the fact that it's not very private at all (although my address and information should be hidden), everything i say here can be connected to me. i'm not gonna talk about the details of my sex life or tell secrets on my instance lol.

but all in all it‘s pretty fun and i mainly use my instance in my day to day life for memes and stuff

you could try using cross-seed to search your library. i recently set it up and it's been matching with torrents that i no longer have torrent files for.

yeah, i've been running arch for a couple of years now and the only time something broke was when the computer died in the middle of updating

i also went in not knowing anything about the movie, and i loved it. it made me cry for the first time in like 8 months haha, highly recommend it.

last time i tried it took like 20 minutes, when it's just around 2GiB.

i thought it might be because the folder is on a hdd, so i tested moving the entire thing to an ssd and lo and behold, du only took 15 seconds there. too bad I don't have enough disk space on the ssd to keep the folder there, so i guess I'll just suffer. the files are probably fragmented over the entire drive or something, idk.
