I really like lemmy so far. With such a small community it almost feels like how online forums used to be

It looks to me that they’re basically doing it as a desperate last resort.

Lemmy

Came here from Reddit and I already love it so much more! :)

Thanks for maintaining the best instance lol

she is ADORABLE!!

Exactly!! The protest wasn't solely about the API changes but people were also protesting /u/spez and his blatant lies to try and shift blame onto other people, which he just loves doing

Chocolate except I spilled glue on it

Reddit also had competing communities though like r/tech and r/technology or r/games and r/gaming

uh

Why do I keep seeing these four comments everywhere

100% agreed, the protest should've lasted indefinitely and having it be only 48 hours was such a stupid idea. But like you said the start of the protest was fantastic and it had the potential to really make an impression that people are serious about this.

WOW this is incredible and so underrated...how does this only have 11 upvotes??

I really want a cat

Yikes.. it's a good thing I came to .world

LOL

I should be thanking you for joining this community! i’m looking forward to seeing your posts :)

pinned!

I think instead of solely talking about Reddit, people are creating communities based off reddit communities like c/tifu or c/mildlyinfuriating and carrying on as usual so I’m hopeful that the same thing won’t happen to lemmy!

Yes! And Cinderella III is one of disney’s best sequels!!
