It sounds like you just recently friended this person. You also sound like a person who is either full throttle or nothing at all. I could be mistaken, and my apologies if I am.
Think of it like this:
When you plant a seed, you need to water it for it to grow. If you give it too much water, it’ll drown and likely not sprout into anything. If you don’t give it any water, it’ll dry up and not sprout either. You’re new at this, so you might pour a little too much water, and sometimes you may not pour enough. It’s okay. Adjust and try again.
When the spout starts poking through the soil, you get excited. Come on, who wouldn’t? It’s exciting stuff. But it’s still new and the plant is still trying to get its roots firmly set in the ground. So just keep watering, give it plenty of space and sunshine , and before you know it, it should be blooming.
Mind you, sometimes no matter what you do, a plant doesn’t make it. Maybe it was your fault, maybe it was something else.
Never stop trying. Adjust and try again.
We have this monthly meeting where we discuss the various things that happened (security, outages, etc), and there are (now) two people who have taken to treadmills while on the call. This made me think of that, and made it that much funnier.
Be careful what you say to an AI. There are more than one story of personal information being leaked, and other stories where the AI will try to get you to self harm. This is not to mention the fact that whatever you say to an AI can likely be read by the company hosting the AI, and with all of the data leaks these days, that’s likely not something you want out on the Internet at some point.
I wake up angry and disappointed every day. And it usually takes me a couple of hours to work my way out of bed.
I keep hoping I’ll wake up and it haven all been some twisted dream. 🤷♂️
Anyway, I hope your day doesn’t suck too bad!
I feel it's equally important to point ot that Torvalds recognized his toxic behavior, apologized for it, and took steps to rectify it.
In an email to the Linux Kernel Mailing List, which also addresses the kernel update of Linux 4.19-rc4, Torvalds writes: "I need to change some of my behavior, and I want to apologize to the people that my personal behavior hurt and possibly drove away from kernel development entirely."
"I am going to take time off and get some assistance on how to understand people's emotions and respond appropriately."
I never will understand how somebody gets into any facet of medicine (e.g. nurse, doctor, pharmacist) and find it okay to deny anybody healthcare solely based on how the person lives. Like dude, there are better ways to make money and be a bigot at the same time. Insurance CEO comes to mind. Cannon fodder as well.
This should be illegal. There is absolutely no good reason this should be available to anybody. It should also be considered unconstitutional; if one of those dots is a person, whether you directly know who the person is or not, it should violate the right to privacy and the right of illegal search and seizure — no questions asked.
The courts have at least 1,889 pages of evidence of election interference, and yet they will still leave him on the ballots for the highest office in the country.
This right here is the very definition of lip service when it comes to justice. It’s time for America to nut up or shut up. Either way, I’m damned tired of this bullshit.
thanks for using Leebra!
