Roguelikes are generally very good with the trope. In Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, when you exhaust a manual's bonus to experience, you get a message "You finish reading your manual and throw it away". But if the manual you were finished with was dedicated to the skill of throwing weapons, you get this special message instead: "you finish reading your manual and masterfully toss it away."
How come?
I'm surprised you picked it up 5 times before deciding it's not for you. I also occasionally fall into this trap of "this game is really popular so my lack of enjoyment of it must be because of my approach" and then I sink 6 hours into Earthbound despite not enjoying anything the game.
There's too much stuff to explore in this world to spend so much time with something as pointless as an unfun game.
To be fair, coop with a friend can fix any game! But playing FromSoftware games in coop sounds funny, given how much focus is on loneliness in their games.

You know the gravity cannon on Ember Twin? When I was watching someone's playthrough, a weird question came to my mind: why here? Why is the cannon was put on Ember Twin, of all planets.
Amusingly, there IS a reason! The planet is filling with sand and, a few minutes before supernova, the cannon becomes completely inaccessible. Incidentally, a few minutes before supernova, the Interloper gets consumed by the expanding sun.
The placement of that cannon is anything but accidental.
Ah, I see. I love these kinds of games so I'm a bit ignorant to how others perceive them. If that's how you feel then of course the game's just not for you.
I want to play Myst one day. Everything I hear about this game says me I'm gonna love it.

The game is very nonlinear. If you can't solve a puzzle in one place, you should go to another. Some puzzles require hints from elsewhere.
I had to look up a few solutions when I was done with exploration. That was a little bit unsatisfying but it didn't ruin the game for me.

Lunacid. It has such a weird and captivating world. Like, the first area is a cave that's filling with a liquid moonlight. Big snails enjoy the moisture while weird abominations roam the floods.
Music is simply awesome, I listen to it outside the game from time to time.

I was thinking about Satan on my walk and figured that "Lucy" is short for "Lucifer", and then was like "Lucy actually sounds pretty nice..."
I returned home and told about it with my friend (also trans) and she was like "wow so cool!!!!!" so I went with it. That's it :3
