Unfortunately everything is inherently political, but I can see the value of an instance that favors mainstream low controversial content.

This seems like a reasonable thing to require of services that aren't dependent on each other for basic functionality.

You don't seem to understand the retail operations of Amazon. They provide logistics and marketing services to retailers, they also directly compete against those retailers because those retailers can't do better at logistics and marketing without using Amazon's services.

Lemmy needs to mature on a technical basis. The Lemmy service itself is still lacking significantly. But it it progressing.

Outside of technical limitations, focus on communities. A few good ones are better than many mediocre ones.

Active accounts is not active users. We shouldn't lie to ourselves. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of active users is half of the active account number.

I generally don't. I don't find it to be a useful grouping to reference or discuss.
