Yes by non-profits. What VC backed python runtimes are you referring to?
@lemmy.world
Both deno and bun felt like experiments in VC funded language runtimes and both of them failed. It reinforced the idea to me that you cannot productize runtimes and they need to be funded by other means
Yes, mod+arrow in tabbed mode which is the same for focusing in tile mode. It feels very ergonomic
I use tabbed mode for my laptop as well because of limited screen real estate.
You mentioned self hosting but if you want something without any lock in, there’s https://prose.sh/ — it open source, supports images, markdown, and you bring your own editor.
Hmm it looks like they only tested KDE (KWin) compositor. I’d love to see how various Wayland server implementations impact performance since the compositor controls when it commits frames to the display controller.
The reason I want to see a compositor comparison is because on Wayland the implementation really matters. This isn’t actually a x vs Wayland comparison, it’s actually x vs 1 Wayland compositor.
For all we know there’s a KWin perf issue that has nothing to do with Wayland itself.
thanks for using Leebra!
