What a striking name... CrowdStrike heh. They definitely live up to it!

There is something I am struggling to reconcile with when looking at centralized planning and distribution of goods under a communist form of the economy. As I understand it, under such a system, there is very thorough planning on what gets produced, how much, and how it is distributed. Talking here more about consumer goods, eg shoes for instance. In this system, I think an issue to be contended with is concerns around quality and actual demand for shoes, as well as the missing incentive to produce the best shoes that exist. Since every year (let's say) production is planned, what's to stop such a system from either under or over producing (since as I understand it, demand is driven top-down)? Also, what incentive does such a system have to enforce quality?
Posting this here because I want to learn and understand.
I am already convinced of the failures of capitalism, I see it every day when reading the news. I want to understand what is a viable alternative, and whether it has already been applied successfully somewhere.
Once the investigation comes to a close, I hope you don't mind if I drop a more fact based source here, if I don't forget, and if one will exist in English.
From the current Romanian reports, some facts emerged that are no longer allegations, like the 2 Russian agents being kicked out of the country and the leaked conversations between them and leaders of the "Vlad Tepes" group, main reason for their expulsion.
Thank you for taking your time with this random thread, in any case. And for your willingness to meet me on middle ground. Truth needs to prevail.
This helped me, thanks. I also think that a bottom-up drive of demand (vs top-down) might be more efficient in the end.
China has been mentioned a lot in this thread, I think that is a good example to take, to answer my question about viable alternatives that have been applied successfully.
I can see that. Anecdotal, but when I was a kid we used to have a Soviet built stereo that my parents got before I was born. It was running fine several decades afterwards. I bet if I go to their place and dig it out of the cellar it can still play cassette tapes even today.
I guess the problem in such a system arises when people no longer want to make things well and for that I assume there would be good feedback mechanisms to somehow move those people out of the critical path of making the thing.
Also, one bigger advantage of this system would be that repairability is built into the process as a prerequisite, not an afterthought (or because x or y organization "forces" the "poor capitalist" to make their crap nominally repairable).
If you ever decide to do that, sign me up for some dev time. I currently mainly work with Qt and C++, but want to learn eg. flutter. Know Rust, Go and Java and a few frameworks around there. Frontend I did some angular and react in the past. For now I'd be able to invest something like 10 hrs per week.
Oh flutter is with dart, not Rust. I was just giving a bit of my profile to talk a bit about my interests / background.
Kotlin is cool, but let me know if you change your mind about flutter. Though it is backed by Google, it does seem like it is gaining some momentum also among the FOSS communities, and it has the added bonus that the app can then be deployed on Android and iOS (or even desktop / web).
Being anti-Semitic as a category should also include being anti-muslim. Semitic peoples include Arabs as well as Jews. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_people
Yes, you are supposed to read Romanian if you're arguing with a Romanian about events happening in their own country.
The made up shit I see so far in this thread is handwaving dismissal of sources without any back up whatsoever. What sources do you present that contradicts what I claimed so far, aside from laughing at sources dismissively?
I am fully against the constitutional court's decision. It was undemocratic. As stated in other messages, I meant here the support from Kremlin for the fascist paramilitary group, "Vlad the Impaler".
Had Georgescu been allowed, democracy in Romania would be dead. But that is another story.
