@dylan this part is WILD!

It appears spez was caught red handed lying

@ruud @WhoRoger I started to follow lemmy.world from mastodon pretty much at the same time it was launched when lemmy.ml became overwhelmed with loads of users, happy to be here

@finickydesert no doubt about it!
The same cost of a high end PC, even a Mac!

Hopefully this makes other vendors to start competing more agressively and technology breakthroughs happen more rapidly... And eventually more accessible prices

@fox I read this article moments before posting the message, https://www.theverge.com/... sounds very enthusiastic but I concur with you, we'll have to see how real life scenarios will work on the device

@fitobugger2017 @tebessa fully recommended Ayutthaya, impressive place, I can't even fathom that place during the cusp of the Siam civilization, as ruins they are impressive!!!

@robocall

More than welcome to come to Costa Rica! As far as you are always aware of your surroundings you should be fine, Monteverde, La Fortuna, Cahuita, Tamarindo, Manuel Antonio, Savegre, Poas Volcano are some of the places I'd recommend to you

@JackbyDev @s38b35M5 @TheSpookiestUser completely off topic Jackby: your avatar kicks ass!

@MagneticFusion agreed with other posters, anything that is not nickname_oddnumers@something.whatever is a significant improvement, and, added value, custom vanity domain makes it even better, go for it!

@nutomic I wonder if my mastodon instance requires similar tweaking, I haven't seen any new updates from Lemmy.ml today on my feed...

@ryannathans thank you for this! I didn't know about Odysee until now https://odysee.com/...

@jgrim nice! where is this?

@exterstellar @Eufalconimorph this is exactly the same conundrum with Mastodon, all the technical mumbo jumbo confuses users, simpler words and a quick start experience is everything to really gain traction and maintain engagement during the few first days and obviously over time.... Federation, Activity pub, instances should be Directory, plain and simple
