Yeah no shit Hamas is an authoritarian corrupt movement. That still doesn’t justify the genocide on Palestinians and the apartheid, occupation and systematic rape, abuse, torture, and also the Israeli mass surveillance that is used to blackmail people or even track them down to murder them.

Absolutely horrifying to imagine the situation of women in Afghanistan right now and especially women like in this article. The Taliban are crazy monsters.

It doesn’t matter what ISIS used because this isn’t ISIS. I speak Palestinian Arabic and صبايا means girls end of story. There’s nothing to argue about especially since you don’t even seem to speak Arabic.

What an absurd story. Another nutjob the Palestinians now have to deal with. Will never understand right winger‘s obsession with the hijab.

Like I guess we all agree that it’s terrible to force women to wear something they don’t wanna wear. First of all, how do her actions fix the problem in Iran? This is just anti-Muslim racism.

Then, in the west where stuff like this happens there’s this constant allegation that women would be forced to wear it, which is in most cases wrong and just another angle on anti-Muslim racism. So these anti-hijab people want to then ban hijabs in order to „free“ the women.

It makes no sense to tell women what to wear and what not in order to free them from people allegedly telling them what to wear and what not. No one could ever come up with a coherent explanation when I raised this concern, always just a lot of mental gymnastics. I will never understand why people just don’t let other people be.

Apart from that, being against the Iranian regime is a reasonable take, but wanting back a monarchy instead? Wtf

I’m just going to copy & paste my response from an earlier post:

Never thought knowing Palestinian Arabic could become so useful. Sabaya is a very normal word to use for youngish women. Maybe in high Arabic it is a more specific term but in every day language no one in their right mind would think about anything related to pregnancy, that’s just ridiculous. Maybe it’s implied, just like it’s implied in “girl” or “young woman”, but that’s just a very desperate attempt to make it sound more than it actually is.

More background:

In Fusha (high Arabic) there are allegedly like 50 different names for a camel depending on what it’s up to. E.g. it has a different name when it’s drinking, sitting, pregnant, young, old, … very similar to cattle terminology in English: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/...

Why I’m mentioning this isn’t because I want to equate women to cattle (please don’t read this out of my comment, that’s not at all what I’m saying just to be very clear). I’m saying it because Arabic is a very rich and complex language. I really don’t know much about Fusha but it can very well be that sabaya means something more specific there in terms of what kind of women these sabaya are exactly. Anyway, even if that were the case in every day language no one would actually try to specifically mention that some woman is capable of getting pregnant.

All of this is irrelevant because the guy did not use the word you’re talking about and that’s why it doesn’t make sense to argue with you.

You need to be able to speak the language to be able to distinguish between the letters ص and س.

Since you don’t speak the language you can’t hear the difference and I don’t know why you’re still trying to desperately cling onto this BS propaganda.

I think memes are cool and this one is accurate lol. I’m just hoping this won’t become some right wing community like 2westerneurope4u. Some memes were funny but all the racism and other right wing bullshit made it pretty much unbearable.

Stop right there Adolfsson. You really showed those 90 year old holocaust survivors who’s the man with your comment on a platform mainly used by mid 20 - mid 30 men working in IT.

Yeah I mean she seems to be frequently on pro-Israel protests, is a right wing supporter and an Iranian monarchist. Exiled Iranians are usually hardcore atheists and combining this with her political views and her ripping off hijabs off women’s heads I think this paints a pretty clear picture.

Lmao this. Pretty much every Iranian you talk to in a trusted environment hates their government. And then most of them are pretty hardcore atheists either. Like nothing wrong with being atheist but to a degree that makes me personally already uncomfortable.

This is the result of paying off developing countries to keep refugees out of the EU because right wing media has successfully planted the idea into the heads of people that they come here in a conspiracy to replace us, steal our jobs, our unemployment benefits, our women, all at the same time.

God I love our western and Christian values that made all of this possible. Have never been prouder to be European, we are a beacon of humanity.

Zionists are Nazis and not only do we need to de-colonize Palestine, we also need to de-nazify it. I’m wondering though how to de-nazify a state where almost everyone is complicit in this genocide in some way.

I only see a lot of mental gymnastics to make it sound like Michael Stürzenberger would be somehow a good guy? He is a convicted extremist e.g. for incitement to hatred, who was under surveillance for plotting to overthrow democracy for many many years. He held up pictures of Goebbels among other things.

Well given that there is some relation to Iran, as a government it would help to not force people to wear it anymore.

In terms of European societies it’s a common allegation that women would be forced to wear it but in countries like France, Germany, UK, etc. it’s usually non-Muslim people speaking about this issue but no one actually speaks to Muslim women and asks them what they want.

So it’s not like there’s actual data on this and I doubt that it’s possible to collect reliable data on this issue. IMO a first step would be to work together with Muslim women instead of patronizing them.

Yes they are Nazis and the Nazis in Germany have met in secret to plot deporting people to Africa that are not German enough, this includes German citizens whose blood is not pure enough according to their definition.

I honestly don’t understand this comment section. The leader of these people is a convicted extremist who was under surveillance for many many years. He is a nazi and wants to overthrow democracy.

On the other hand there was a Muslim bystander trying to stop the guy, a Muslim police officer stopping the guy and a Muslim paramedic treating the attacked. I wonder why you don’t care about that being mentioned.
