The weight, and Alton Brown, are why I started getting carbon steel pans. All the benefits, still the seasoning, a fraction the weight.

Also working on a Brandon Sanderson series, finishing The Way of Kings. First book in the Stormlight Archive series. Loving the way he turns a lot of normal things on it's head, grass and trees that react and retract, gender role and food norms. Very interesting.

Listening my way through Serge Storms series by Tim Dorsey. Cause who doesn't identify a little bit with a serial killer who is basically just acts like your obtrusive inner voice wish you could when confronted with the worst dregs of society. The style of writing is glib and humorous, with attention paid to funny observations.

For PLA, Overture is what I use for my painterly prints and primary colors. Hatchbox for some of their more interesting designy options. Polymaker when neither of the first two is what I want.

I have found, several years after deleting my Google accounts, that any accounts I missed, can be fixed with an email to support explaining I no longer have access to that gmail account. Sometimes I have to provide some understandable proof like an old purchase detail. The one or two accounts that didn't have good support to help, were no real loss to create a new account for.

I do. Run about a half dozen email servers for various organizations. Been doing it for almost a decade for some. Other than initial setup pain, I've had zero problems others describe. I have used (and still run) docker-mailserver, mailcow, mail-in-a-box and mailu. All are lovely in their own way and fit various use cases better than others.

I moved my number to VoIP.ms and while it's not nearly the same service wise, SMS do come to my email and I can call and receive calls via any VoIP app I want.

Just cracked into Words of Radiance last night!

Amen. Been on the hunt for 3 years, had one call back. It's brutal.

Where... How.... That's incredible!

I hadn't either, then I saw an obituary for Tim Dorsey, the author, mentioning he was a contemporary of Dave Barry. Did a little goodreads lookup, hit up the library and been enjoying ever since. I need to get better about using BookWyrm to look up and track stuff.

As I recall, I enjoyed the series as a whole. Takes a couple interesting turns in the world building that I really wasn't expecting.

PA just trying to be the new Cisco.

Hadn't heard of this before. I'll give it a whirl.

Is *warden the new hotness? Bitwarden, vaultwarden, linkwarden and now certwarden?

Torpedo Juice - by Tim Dorsey, book 7 of the Serge Storm mysteries. A comedic series focused on a Florida man whose motto is "think global, act criminal local", as he wanders through Florida leaving a trail of death and mayhem.

I use my Roon sever to stream and group mine. Expensive to get into, but smooth enough to get partner approval for use.
