I live in the area. There's pretty constant demand for java developers with Tullverket, Försäkringskassan, and SAAB often hiring. Beyond that there are a lot of consulting firms often looking for people. I managed to get a job straight out of uni.

From what I've gathered there's currently an overpressure in software engineers towards the south with a lot of competition. Up here there appears to instead be an underpressure with a lot of openings popping up. The things you'd run into is that being able to speak fluent Swedish is often times ranked highly or a requirement, as is having a drivers license and for some positions being able to get a security clearance.

What do you mean by "a block of external phone numbers?" We'd like to simply have our own internal numbers ideally, nothing to connect to the regular phone network.

Själv hade jag ett knytkalas på universitetet igår med de som inte rest hem, var riktigt trevligt om än vi gjorde på tok för mycket mat. Nu ska man bara ha ett till med familjen...

Man satt och jobbade på c/canvas, vilket blev nätt och jämt klart kort innan det stängde. Blev nog ett bra resultat.

Det är väl inte loken som det oftast blir problem med, utan ledningar, växlar, och signaler. Ånglok behöver inga ledningar, och signaler och växlar hanterades på plats av operatörer fram tills att det introducerades centralstyrning. Och jag skulle gissa att en operatör på plats kan snabbare lösa en simpel signal eller frusen växel än att behöva skicka ut en tekniker.

Lösningen är ju att tag i underhållet så att signaler och växlar inte havererar, och skydda ledningar från träd. Antagligen billigare än att stationera operatörer vid varje växelnav och signalsträcka.

Läst igenom första Dune boken, kan varmt rekommendera den. Frågan är bara ifall man ska hoppa iväg till nästa direkt, eller ifall man ska läsa någon av de andra böckerna man har liggandes.

Instämmer, dock tror jag det skulle räcka med att begränsa smartphones men tillåta "dumma mobiler." No indication of it, other than them concluding the story now. On the other hand they resolved the bot crisis that was plaguing the game a while back, though no major updates other than the regular seasonal updates (such as Smissmas right now).
