Twitter no longer has a media relations department. The company responded to a request for comment with a poop emoji.
@lemmy.world
I hope they lose this case badly.
For the concerns I have about AI and stealing others work, I want to see Reddit burn for pretending that they are all about community and connection, while actively harming their users’ experience on the platform and attempting to profit off their content.
Explains why he was so antagonistic toward the ABC reporter at the National Association of Black Journalists. As bad as that makes him look outside of the MAGA bubble, it lets him make the pathetic argument that ABC was mean to him so he won't go debate there. His fragile little ego is more important to him than winning the election. Good news for democracy lovers.
We must block Donald Trump, which is why we urge Uncommitted voters to vote against him and avoid third-party candidates that could inadvertently boost his chances
Isn't this just saying vote for Harris?
“He jokes all the time,” said Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., who was in the room at the time. “I think it's one of the problems with politics is you can't even tell a joke without being excoriated.”
Definitely, that's the problem in politics. Ffs.
Elon sees himself as a truth teller discovering and interpreting information that is outside the mainstream, using his deep and savvy knowledge of the world to understand what is and isn't important or relevant and using his platform to promote it. He thinks he's the only person with the courage to speak the truth.
In reality he's just the 2024 equivalent of a boomer forwarding stupid email chains from his inbox without the slightest inclination to confirm what he's posting or ability to tell the real world from obvious fakery.
"Taylor Swift is going to come out in the presidential election and she is going to mobilize her fans," Kirk warned his viewers on Wednesday, adding, "And we're going to be like, 'Oh wow, where did all these young, female voters come from?' We better have a plan for that."
Kirk acknowledging a) the party does not attempt to represent young women and b) the current plan is that they hopefully just don't vote.
Jessica Castillo, a self-described centrist from Charlotte who voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020
If you're consistently voting hard right, how the hell are you calling yourself centrist? These people are nuts.
It's such bullshit, Reddit could have been so much more. Researching my latest purchase/obsession, and the only way to find anything that isn't corporate sponsored reviews or AI content farming is to add the word "Reddit" to the end of the search.
As someone with an 11 year old account that I deleted during the TPA debacle, I fully recognise that there's a huge problem here. Reddit created a place where people wanted to put their thoughts, ideas, and opinions, and now that they are cashing out TOO FUCKING BAD LAME EBD USER.
Edit: /oblig fuck you spez. Slimy little arsehole sold everyone out and thinks he deserves to be rich because his shitty site isn't absolutely irredeemable.
Muted mics make him look like he's being civil and letting Harris talk.
Hot mic presents two interesting possibilities:
He tries on his "low IQ" and "she suddenly decided to be black" attack lines and Harris calls him out so he looks like a fucking asshole to the average voter.
He DOESNT try on his "low IQ" and "she suddenly decided to be black" attack lines and Harris calls back to her "say it to my face" line and paints him as a weak coward for the rest of the campaign.
It's wild that Republicans are trying to impeach Biden while simultaneously insisting that Trump should be immune from crimes committed while in office.
I get that impeachment isn't a legal process, but the idea that they wanna open that door just to save their guy - and still pretend like Biden is a criminal and that should matter to voters - should tell anyone everything they need to know about the party.
Yeah, it's grubby AF. I get that the strategy is to normalise calling your opponent a loser so it feels matter of fact, but it's absolutely fucked that this is how major political candidates and operations work nowadays.
(Also, Harris won the last election, won the nom, and is still up in the polls, whereas Trump has lost so many major contests since 2016 he's uniquely qualified to be called a loser)
Great points.
One thing about Trump: I do believe that underneath it all, he does want to make America a great nation. He’s just ignorant of how to do that or what it would even look like when achieved.
I don't think he does. I think he wants to make it a better place for him, and he doesn't get any further than that as a concept.
thanks for using Leebra!
