Great news, thanks for the heads-up! Hopefully, though, we get some way to search both Lemmy communities and Kbin magazines through one browser.
Having to use browse.feddit.de and kbin.social/magazines separately doesn't seem optimal.
I don't intend to go back nearly as much as before, even if the changes are reverted (unlikely, imo). A lot of the aspects of Reddit that I didn't like - but tolerated - are generally not found here, at least so far. While Lemmy still leaves things to be desired, it just feels better to engage with.
However, I may still add " reddit" to the end of a search query to avoid all the bloat articles that crop up in a search. There's still a wealth of useful information on Reddit from all those years for even the most niche questions / topics.
Yeah, one thing I hope to leave behind with Reddit is every major subreddit farming outrage w.r.t. American politics.
It just became exhausting and made me unsub from a lot of the big subreddits. So far, Lemmy has been quite positive! It's refreshing.
You may already be comfortable with another app or the web version of Lemmy, but I recommend 'Connect for Lemmy' if you're looking for instance blocking. It allows you to block instances as a user.
Strongly agree with both yours and OP's sentiments. There's little use dwelling on Reddit now, and we have something really special starting here on Lemmy / Kbin / the Fediverse.
It's been great to see various communities grow and adapt to the changes since this all took off.
I'm trying out an app called Jerboa for Lemmy on Android, it's okay so far. Better than using a browser most of the time.
I see in this post it says that Lemmy communities can be followed from a Mastodon instance. Can the opposite be done too? Could I follow a Mastodon account via Lemmy.world?
Sorry if this is a really silly question, the Fediverse is still very new to me!
For sure, don't get me wrong; Suspend needed a nerf, and I'm glad this change gives Stasis some purpose again. Though I agree, the champion suspend nerf is really rough.
RIP Strand Titans, following the nerf to Suspend + Thread of Mind. The whole post is kinda RIP Titans, actually.
I've heard in another post on this topic that NewPipe scrapes the videos from YouTube, acting like a normal user, and presents you with the videos without ads. Supposedly, YouTube would find it very hard to block NewPipe's method as a result.
I use ReVanced, so I'm not so sure how safe I am. May have to move to NewPipe if we end up affected by this.
Jerboa has been a really similar experience to Boost so far, compared to other Lemmy apps. However, Boost had some features I've been missing dearly, I'm so glad to hear this!
I'll definitely use it when it releases!
Click on your username to go to your profile, from there it's under 'Saved', hope this helps
Lemmy seems to cover most of the content from larger subreddits. For the smaller, or more specific communities (such as local subreddits or those for hobbies/interests) they generally have a Discord server to join.
So between Lemmy and Discord, I've eliminated the need to use Reddit at all. This isn't without it's flaws or drawbacks, but it 'scratches the Reddit itch', I guess.
I'm gonna assume it's 'awful taste and awful execution'. This is nightmare fuel that not even a Cars straight-to-DVD rip-off could top.
Strand getting even tankier with the buff to Sever now reducing outgoing target damage from 30% to 40%.
Damage reduction with T10 Resil + Woven Mail + Sever will be 83% in S22. RDM + Strand Hunter melee spam build is looking even better. Shame about suspend though.
Looking forward to those Wings of Sacred Dawn and Astrocyte changes for Warlock, too.
I do believe there is a fix for that, iirc you have to enable 'Spoof App Signature' under Settings > ReVanced > Misc.
I think that's how I fixed it, but if not there are discussions on how to fix this issue over at the ReVanced subreddit.
I didn't know this about lynels being under stables. So I checked my map, as I had marked each lynel I encountered in the depths, and you're right! Each one is directly under a stable!
I see your post from lemmy.world
Thanks for the advice! I think I just need to commit the game loop with Heat Rises -> Melee -> Phoenix Dive -> Nades to muscle memory. The window in which you can extend your Restoration is very small.
By the way, thanks for the tip about Phoenix Dive's scorch proccing your melee via scorch, that will go a long way to making it more reliable. I didn't know that.
The stand-out part of the season for me is the dungeon. Having an absolute blast running it with clanmates! Though, when I get The Navigator, I will likely run it less often.
The rest of the season, while I like where the narrative is going, just really isn't doing it for me. Salvage is very lackluster, but Deep Dives are quite refreshing! Love the rogue-lite elements applied.
I would play the Deep Dives more, if the seasonal weapons were worth grinding out. Nothing really stands out to me, to be honest. Makes the seasonal activities less inviting.
This is really interesting! It reminds me of the time I was looking into (apologies if this is a little off-topic) the decimal clock, which broke the day into tenths. It was almost adopted in France a few hundred years ago, if I remember correctly.
The advantage I can see in using the dozenal clock, however, is in expressing the time in dozenals (as in, as an analogue to decimals).
For example, when using the standard notation; 20 mins would convert to 0.333... hours. However in dozenal, it would seem to convert to 0.4(I think?) Which is nicer to deal with than repeating numbers.
thanks for using Leebra!
