Unpopular opinion, as I grow older birthdays seems to be less and less happy because of the toxic Filipino trait that you're obligated to spend extra for food to be eaten by people at your workplace that you're not that close to.

You do know what's happening in Reddit and why majority of the reddit user base is protesting by going dark because of their corporate decision. Kaya nga naghanap ng possible place as refuge dito sa lemmy e.

WTH is going on Internet?! Reddit's API killed 3rd party apps and now Twitter is limiting views for a day?! This could be a gain for other platforms like Facebook, then again Facebook sucks! Even if this happens, this will not make me reactivate my FB! Messenger na lang kailangan ko sa kanila.

EDIT: If Old Reddit dies which most users use it also, that can be the real protest.

Like what I said yesterday, what Twitter is doing can gain other platforms like Facebook. Then again Facebook sucks! I only use it for Messenger lang.

My Facebook has been deactivated since 2021 and even if it’s activated, I don’t put any personal information in my profile. My birthday was posted sa bulletin board due to peer pressure a few years ago. I regret not standing up to myself.

ang dami na din kasi sites na similar to Reddit e. It'll be difficult if the other subreddits you usually go to is on a different site. Also, I don't know if this is a permanent solution ng r/Philippines but it's having a great start as of now.

I think I read that in the first page of lemmy as well. We need content for this to grow. Reddit's corporate decision is it's own downfall. Nagmamatigas sila sa API nila.
