Gas pump ads are the worst. I stopped going to a station because they couldn't be muted, and they're the ads that scream at you or brain rot craft videos. I wouldn't have minded so much if was only the "good news" segment or usefull PSAs. But yelling at me at 7am to buy beef jerky is not okay.

If a person came up to you at the pump and offered a flyer, that's okay. But if they started screaming at you to buy their shit, that'd be harassment. Gas pumps should not be allowed to "harass" people.

I'm gonna be honest here, sounds like you need to be more selective in who you trust for your various services.

The way you describe these people, it sounds like you're going with your "uncles friend" type of people or the trashy companies that are ran by someone pushing their staff to do quick/slop jobs for high profit.

Get that exterior worker to small claims before their business mysteriously dissolves into oblivion.

You can can give me a million dollars to paint your ceiling, but that's not going to make me Michelangelo.

You need to find the people that take actual pride in their work, which is incredibly hard to do. Failing that, the established businesses that stand behind their work. If that autobody tech doesn't warranty the paint job, they aren't worth your business. If the guy re-fixing the drains is covering it on their own dime and making it right without a fuss, then that's something to remember next time. Everyone makes mistakes, its how they handle them after the fact that's important.

This is like if Walmart started policing what products Target can sell and policing what products can go into your house, while not bothering to police their own store.

FBI open up! It sounds like trying you're to steal lots of data in a few seconds before either the computer kicks you out, or someone returns to their desk. If you're not staring in a "hacker" movie, 10GBs on a modern usb stick should only take a few minutes, go get a coffee or something while you wait.

For purely educational purposes, If a 3.0 usb drive isn't fast enough you'll need an external SSD which will have significantly faster write times. Be wary of vauge marketing like "fast", 30MB/s was "fast" 20 years ago. You want the actual to find the spec for write speed, simply put, a higher number is better. Find the highest number, but also be wary of absurd claims. Try to find independent tests/research that support a manufacture's claim.

That being said, you're also limited by the computer's usb capabilites and whatever drive that has. Make sure you're plugging into a usb 3.0 port or better. Additionally, if the data is on a slow drive, there's nothing you can do about that. If the data is comprised of a lot small files, it will be slower to copy as the system has to process each one.

I hope you enjoyed this educational exercise; and remeber kids, don't do crime and if you get caught, you don't know me!

Your post doesn't render for me. It seems fine to me when I copy it, does it show up for you? I just copied pasted what you posted.

If you put a line breaks after "example: " does it work (make sure theres no space before the first pipe)?

Your post works fine if I open it in my browser too. It seems that Boost doesn't like text before the pipe symbol.

The map reminds me of Sid Meier's Pirates.

How is that still the best pirate game?

Well that's fun. Odd someone named Campbell asking was for a tomato soup recipe, you'd think that would just be built into their bloodline or something.

While I'm glad no JS package managers were hurt to make the soup, I do wish the recipe didn't waste so much water.

I think it should have to go through a mod. You can publicly hide your name from the post (it still needs to be visible to mods for moderation purposes), but you should have to ask a mod for total thread deletion.

Although that may not be the answer either, someone pointed out apparently mods are nuking threads too???

Good. If they want security, hire security. No store clerk should be expected to intervene. Most they should be responsible for is keeping them self safe and and calling a manager/police once its safe for them to do.

what did I just read? That woman needs to dump that boy. That boy needs reeducation on basic cleaning.

This gives the same vibes as "I don't wash my privates because it's gay".

Meanwhile Windows; Hi, you saved a file earlier? Let's search for it. Nope, can't find it, do you want to search Bing? No? [A few minutes later] Ooo, so sorry you're offline and can't download it. Too bad.

Ios; you want to open the file in an app? OK, click 7 buttons and we'll make a local copy stored in the app's specific folder you didn't know existed.

Chrome; what's a file?

Linux; which file browser would you like to use today?
