I think proton has two levels of 'killswitch' on it's VPN. The regular one is more of a 'killswitch but only when you have the app open' while the extra options are supposed to make it an actual kill switch. Whether or not this second level is completely effective I can't say.
Binding your client to the vpn interface is definitely the way to go. This safety measure is widely known, but I feel that it is much less well known than it should be.
I wonder if the people who are using drugs are also experiencing higher than 'normal' stress levels which could play a factor? I.e. more stressed people would use more drugs?
You seriously think high grocery costs are due to unions? How are you both pro-communism and anti-union?
People still use Facebook?!
Here's a youtube playlist.
Yep works great.
No, as those also have ICE motors. This is more like having an EV but instead of charging the battery directly you fill it with diesel. Then there is a diesel generator that runs constantly at the most fuel efficient RPM it can. Any engine has an ideal RPM that it can run at with significant savings - thing trying to go highway speeds in first gear for the opposite idea. Instead of the generator having to absorb any power spikes, the electric motors do that and use the stored energy.
There is also a startup company in BC that I saw has been implementing this idea into long haul trucks for substantial improvements.
I also found him from the documentary. People like to compare him to Bob Dylan, but hot take I think it should be the other way around.
I'm not saying Bob didn't put out a handful of good songs, but IMO every single Rodriguez song slaps.
I find it very strange and risky in general that they had EAC implemented and working during their big open tests, but then suddenly implemented a different & untested anticheat before launch. They disabled Linux on the new anti-cheat, but it's more crazy in my mind that they wouldn't expect a whole lot of new implementation issues to crop up after swapping such a major component.
I know the prime games are allowed as per the sidebar rules, but can there perhaps be a tag that labels these as "not free" or "subscription required"?
In my eyes there is zero difference between prime gaming and humble choice as in both cases you must pay a subscription to get games. Neither case is free.
I believe they are saying to use OBS just for screen capture, then use that feed as the 'camera' input for whatever video chat application you are using
Can anyone help explain the use case for this? Why would someone want/need a dedicated app for bookmarks vs just using the built in browser bookmarking?
I've always used Firefox but have never thought to myself that I needed bookmarks in a different app entirely. What am I missing?
Best civ is Unciv. FOSS civ 5 with way better performance and a lot of QoL changes
Your beans are still dry after soaking them for 24 hours before cooking? Or you just rely on the cooking itself to hydrate them?
My OLED TV disagreed apparently. Put on a certain fireplace video one winter for a few hours per day for about a month. Burned the crap out of my reds. I'll never get an OLED again, but still use it because TVs are expensive and it still technically works.
Do you have a recommendation for which project to host and/or clients to use? There are so many.
In an idyllic world where no capitalist greed is focused on maximizing shareholder value that might be a more significant concern. But in modern day, a union raising their wages by 10% might result in less than a 1% increase in user prices. Whereas the ruling class of capitalists are the true source of greedflation making products unaffordable.
If anything in your example I would argue that the better solution is actually more unions. Those nail salon workers should also earn living wages to afford the goods, which unions would fight for. I would be shocked to learn of any case where a union could be compared to the average elite-class capitalist in terms of greed.
