Also creates two sexes so that there can be a complicated method of procreation ... makes the act very enjoyable ... even makes using the parts by yourself very enjoyable

Bans everyone from doing it or even thinking about it and only allows them to do it to reproduce .... watches everyone who even thinks about doing it or acting out on it

The dumb part is not that this orange idiot wanted to do all this.

The dumb part is that there is a large team, a huge organization, an entire community of people and professionals that enabled him to do all this and make it all possible. Everyone keeps pointing fingers at the deranged mango clown show, but people seldom think about the production crew that keep him in power and enable everything he wants to do, no matter how stupid it is.

If you ask the fourth American, they'd probably say that US democracy had already failed quite a while ago. If you want evidence if democracy has failed in America, just look at the clown show in its current leadership and have a cursory look at what they are doing and keep doing right now.

It's probably the greatest democracy break in modern history because it's obviously broken, yet like a cowboy running the dog and pony show with the carriage on fire, no one really wants to admit that anything is wrong with this picture or do much about it.

The fact that more and more sources are saying that 'it might fail', 'it's approaching failure' or 'in danger of failing' ... is probably a sign that it has already failed.

lol ... psychopaths and sociopaths with a never ending thirst for profit are surprised that infinite growth no matter how much you want to believe in it can not sustain itself are surprised when their money can't magically grow any more.

It was a small smouldering fire on the kitchen stove before Trump .... now the entire kitchen is on fire ... but everyone is sitting in the living room trying to ignore the smoke that's filling up the rest of the house.

This is all part of the circus show

mess up the reflecting pool - mess up the white house - add a boxing ring on the whitehouse lawn - turn it all into a trailer trash nightmare

All to distract the neighbours and police from the meth lab they've been building in the basement

(*the meth lab being the absolute robbery of the public purse in America)

I had an old friend years ago who worked in a paper mill. He had been there for over 30 years in all kinds of positions and at the time he was on the verge of becoming a manager with a desk job and big responsibilities. We told him to avoid the management job and to just stick to whatever he was doing until retirement which wasn't that far away from him at the time. Management would have meant more pay, more perks, more money ... but also more responsibility and more opportunities for people to blame him if anything went wrong. Besides, he was making a ton of money in the position he had at the time. We all told him to just stay where he was and he did. He was fine, he had enough money, he had enough responsibilities and he was in a great team of people he had known all his life and he was a senior level worker that everyone looked up to anyway. Within five years of making that decision, he was diagnosed with cancer and he died shortly after. But during all that time, he was happy at work, made a fortune for his family and he got to spend his free time with his family and friends. If he had taken the management job, he would have gone through tons of stress, and probably been blamed for a dozen things and a high likelihood he would have been fired and lost his benefits. It was a company tactic to place long term workers in management positions, give them too much responsibility, and get the excuse to fire them so that the company wouldn't have to pay into an expensive retirement package. It was a high risk position.

Moral of the story is ... if you get to place in life where you get to have some measure of control and you are comfortable ... stick with it because it might not get any better than that.

quickly asked for an AI summary of the site and it returned:

Almost made it years ago ... I'm a recovered alcoholic and one of my recovery options was to be admitted into a facility but I wasn't that far gone yet so I was able to go through lighter treatment services and go through the 12 step program instead ... that was over 30 years ago and these days I feel like I'm edging towards losing my sanity again every day.

I only made the comparison of social media to a mental hospital because just about every day I see more and more deluded realities than ever before. At one end, I have my younger relatives (under 30 years of age) living some kind of weird online life that they try to emulate like a k-pop reality show, a soap opera or a comedy show with a laugh track (meanwhile their real life situation is anything but) ... and at the other end, I have older relatives (over 50 years of age) who only ever want to be angry, afraid or semi or fully racist or fascist (when in real life their lives are good peaceful and they would never be openly racist or fascist, or show any support for it!). People keep telling me that maybe it's just the quality of people I am around ... but I look into other social media feeds with family who live in the cities down south, the rural areas, the northern remote areas or the busy suburban areas and its almost all universally the same. And I know a variety of people ... poor trailer trash types, northern poor people, native families living on reserves .. as well as middle class white people living in cities, upwardly mobile professionals, teachers, office workers, government workers, a few medical doctors and nurses and even a couple of millionaires who live in the city.

I should also clarify that these observations are all about corporately owned social media ... and yes I know that they are heavily influenced and managed to be like this ... but still, it feels so overwhelming that at one point, it does feel like being trapped in some kind of institution. Sure I can leave but all or most of my family and friends are in there. Most of the people I know are not technically savvy or interested and they just prefer being on FB, IG or TikTok or even X ... and whenever I do see them there, I feel like I'm visiting the FB Ward or the TikTok Ward of a giant facility full of deluded people.

We are the bridge generation.

We know and saw a world without the internet and we experienced it when it first came to be.

We saw the first mass produced computers and computer devices which broke often, didn't work the way we wanted them to, they weren't fast and they didn't have much memory in any way. We were the first generation to see all this. Our parents were too old and busy to figure it out but we were young enough to be curious about it all. We also kept wanting to have the newest fastest hardware and software so we had no choice but to either buy, beg or steal these things to get them. We learned to swap parts, add parts, remove parts, install an OS, uninstall the OS, run backups, store data and learn it all on our own because there was no easy internet social media community to help you. Software was constantly changing and we had to keep up by either buying expensive titles or we learned about Linux and open source software or we became digital pirates or both.

Now the digital landscape has changed. Younger generations prefer handheld devices so to them everything is solid state ... they never can imagine changing the RAM, HDD, SSD, CPU, GPU or the PSU or even bothering to learn what those things are. Because everything is built in and no one (or very few) people bother with fixing or tinkering with anything. There are fewer people who learn about software and about how or where to find it, install it, configure it and run it. To new generations who only know the digital world through locked devices, there was less incentive to learn or even have access to know how these things worked.

We are the bridge generation. We got to see the world without the internet and the world with one. No one before us got to see what we saw, no one after us will experience what we went through. Our civilization dramatically changed during our lifetime and we got a front row seat.

The biggest issue that no one ever wants to talk about is ....

... it's isn't about the QUANTITY of life

.... it's about the QUALITY of life.

If people are able to have a comfortable, stable and prosperous life, with plenty of their own free time to enjoy without worrying about losing everything then they'll make time and an effort to have a family and children.

If all our wealthy overlords ever want to do is squeeze every penny out of us all the time, then people will be less likely to want to have children.
