Grand Poobah of the Human Web Collective
FYI this seems to be the AI tool mentioned in the article. Funny, I don't see anything on the homepage about the fact their tool can spew inaccurate nonsense. But they do present some gems like "The question is not what the plan costs. It is what the plan includes when the work gets heavy." 🤣
I can really feel the sparks fly between us whenever we're together
I'm curious why all of the example "insults" seem to be making fun of supposed left-wing attacks. No mention of "woke" "retard" "communist" "braindead" etc.
Seems like a missed opportunity.
Sure, let's ask MechaHitler if the dictionary has a correct definition.
Corporate social media run by Big Tech. This isn't really a problem on community-run services because we, the people, aren't putting up with this crap. 😂
Thank god for the fediverse!
This is getting really old, really damn fast.
also ai;dw for slop videos 😄
Who knew that "simulating" human conversations based on extruded text strings that have no basis in grounded reality or fact could send people into spirals of delusion?
The most AI-pilled people I know tend to be older, honestly.
Let's not "blame the kids" for problems they have no responsibility in creating.
If they're using AI services and big corporate social media all day, it's because that's the world they were sucked into by the Fuckerbergs of the world.
Rather than just complain about it, let's do our best to build & encourage tools, services, and marketing campaigns that appeal to Gen Z and help them discover they don't have to accept the slop being shoved in their face.
If everything looks kinda like AI slop, then you won't object to the full slop.
In zero years, nobody will care what La Haine director thinks about AI.
If we're really super lucky the Paramount/WB merger falls apart because Daddy's shiny money just ain't there no more.
OK well it's clear who is the real artist in this scenario. Bravo to the student who actually expressed genuine human emotion by seeing that dross for what it is.
Chew it up. Spit it out.
This polling data is pretty wild:
About 93% of corporate leaders and 80% of investors said they think AI will be net positive for society compared to just 58% of ordinary people, according to the poll by nonprofit Just Capital.
Love the end summary:
If you want control over your privacy, your data, how much you’re paying for compute, and your PC, Linux is the best way forward.
Yep. Heck, I have a Mac mini on my desk I'm using right now…running Asahi Fedora. 😁
The acceleration of agentic coding and the plummet in software quality & reliability aren't two separate stories. They're the same story. Even if a particular bug/problem can't be traced back to a slop source, the proliferation of slop is itself a net drag on software teams and leads to overall deskilling and focus diversion.
We have a duty as industry professionals to fight back, say no, and make sure companies are aware this "new normal" is completely and utterly unacceptable.
I wouldn't be a fan of his style if he was constantly full of it.
Instead, he brings the receipts. Over and over again. So I trust him enough to appreciate the bombastic style. Honestly, you kind of need that to cut through the noise of the actual AI-pilled sloppified b.s. out there.
Oh that's funny. I've been repeatedly told that AI is in fact negligible it comes to water usage.
Is it possible we were lied to, again? 🤣
It costs vastly more money to run OpenAI than it does any gross income they're receiving.
Because nothing says "self-expression direct from the soul" like atomized sound waves coming from an algorithm.
We should stop calling this stuff music, art, whatever. It's simply arranged static.
thanks for using Leebra!
