There’s a balance between convenience and security and IMO storing both on 1Password is fine. An attacker getting into your 1PW account would require them having
your username
and your password (which should be unique to only 1PW)
and your secret key
or physical device access with your 1PW password or biometric auth credentials
in which case an attacker really wants your stuff, has your device, and you have bigger issues.
I feel like this is similar to saying “is your front door lock strong enough?” when a thief is at your door and really wants to get inside, regardless of level of effort required.
At this point I may have a better experience on the betas and will probably install on my iPhone. Ios 16 is pretty buggy (I have audio randomly crash or widgets disappear with only reboots fixing then)
Also the public beta is probably around the corner now
There’s a learning curve but it’s hard to beat AltStore with https://qnblackcat.github.io/AltStore/ apps. Same experience as the official apps, but with ads removed. It also should defeat all tbt Adblock detection YouTube is trialing now.
This would probably relegate the fediverse to a zombie-product-status niche if this sort of policy extremism takes on. But maybe some users would prefer that. Please read the rebuttal on this view at https://daringfireball.net/...
