@baronvonj @usmlr until covid I went to every single Old Glory home game, and a decent number of New York ones. I intend to keep that up as much as possible.

@baronvonj @usmlr totally! I’m excited for Old Glory’s new home field, which is much more convenient to me!

@baronvonj oh, sweet, looks like just clicking the follow button for @usmlr in @ivory Just Works™ this is already a vastly superior experience than Reddit for me!

@baronvonj @usmlr wow, yeah. A good two second delay.

@baronvonj @usmlr or possibly my audio is out of sync?

@baronvonj @usmlr kicking is surprisingly accurate, given the rain.

@baronvonj @usmlr very! The commentating leaves a bit to be desired, however.

@baronvonj @usmlr managed to switch back just in time to watch them lose the line out, but damn! Good to know we’ve got a competitor in Miami!

@baronvonj ended the stream, and restarted it, and now everything appears to be in sync. Hopefully it stays that way.

@baronvonj I’d agree with that. The Freejacks were a pretty tough draw for their very first MLR appearance…

@baronvonj @usmlr damn, Anthem are kinda falling apart. Should I switch back?

@baronvonj @usmlr the score doesn’t quite reflect what’s been going on. Freejacks are definitely outplaying Anthem, but it’s been a pretty good match so far.

@kb7qdi @usmlr the weather’s part of the game. Just like a muddy pitch is supposed to be.

@baronvonj MacDonald is something else…

@baronvonj @usmlr I’d also really like to make it to a San Diego home game. What a gorgeous stadium!

@baronvonj @usmlr it probably doesn’t help that it’s streaming to my phone over satellite internet, then AirPlaying to an Apple TV that’s wirelessly paired to two HomePod minis for audio…

@baronvonj guess I need to figure out this Lemmy thing now…

I don’t really have a horse in this race, I just love watching rugby! (I’m an #OldGloryDC, and occasional #NewYorkIronworkers fan, but I cannot wait for an opportunity to go see a #SanDiegoLegion home game, what a stadium!)
