Thank you so much for including nonbinary/gender nonconforming folks, even though this is a gender-focussed community ❤️🩹

I think you can only simplify things so much without making the entire thing pointless. As others have already said, install GrapheneOS yourself — it's almost as easy as making an online purchase. And remember the phone is inherently a tracking device no matter what — especially if the cellular/radio stack is active.
I don't think there's any more shortcuts that can be taken if security and protection from surveillance are actually important.
My struggle is to not get bitter/angry at these situations. I have to keep reminding myself that there are about a billion other ways in which I am ignorant of things that are equally important. And that just a few years ago, I too, was completely on the big tech bandwagon (but only reluctantly so).
I 90% agree. The 10% being due to the bygone waves of feminism, which, personally I always saw as being hateful and incendiary.
I'm all about the flower power, c̶a̶t̶c̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ feeding more flies with honey, etc. I don't see the world needing more hatred to solve any of its ongoing problems with hatred...
Very insightful! Thank you for this comment @msage@programming.dev
I posted a very similar question on here recently. I would have to say, for me, the biggest hurdle in finding a play partner would be just finding a group/scene where folks are somewhat likely to be open to dating. But of course as a demisexual this still excludes dating apps and other such scenarios more geared towards immediately quenching a thirst.
I like the general suggestion that was given on my post: Find fun things to do as a way of meeting people. It eases the pressure, and one is more likely to be open to connecting when already having fun 😀
This is so relatable. I don't have any advice for you, but I know that for me it has taken a few years to figure out how to cope with this better.
Not that it's "Mission Accomplished", but I do feel much better adjusted now. I don't get as angry as I used to when I am not being heard/understood, and I also don't try too hard to make others understand me. I just do my best to communicate my thoughts and feelings (whatever that may look like in the circumstances), and leave the rest up to the other person to figure out for themselves.
I'm super proud of myself for having been able to survive in the interim as I gathered whatever skills were needed to get to this level of acceptance. I sincerely hope that you can, too ❤️🩹
Indeed it has, thank you Binzy_Boi! Feel free to remove yourself from the moderator role or from the community if you so wish. Though I would welcome your staying behind for a bit even though, as you've said, your identity has evolved.
And on an unrelated note: Somehow it seems like I can't react to your comments with an emoji. Just above, I was able to react to Sunshine's comment without an issue 🤔
thanks for using Leebra!
