Then why make it a law? Gas stations would all choose to have full service only if it was cheaper.

Rude tone apart, this is absolutely true. Nobody thinks satellite Internet is meant to compete with fiber to the door.
Donofrio broke a glass window on the front door "and reached inside to manipulate the doorknob,"
How much more "immediate" do you need? A complete stranger is trying to break into your home to do god knows what is the epitome of a clear and immediate danger to me.
What would you have done? Opened the door and welcomed them in?
It does. But I still use my mail app instead of going to gmail.com, I use my Spotify app instead of going to Spotify.com, I use the YouTube app, etc.

archive.is usually works
So why not return a long or whatever the 64 bit int equivalent is?
The active user chart on that site shows a spike after Twitter was sold and then a 50% decline and a flat line after.
It's not bad, but doesn't seem to be growing.
Depends how you are presenting the number. Over 1 per person is ok, but this is 1.1 per woman. So closer to .5 per person.
I think ultra for reddit was always a subscription. Only the pro version had a one time fee and that version is likely coming to sync for Lemmy too.
I think that was his point. He said none of the other jetbrains ides are slow so it can't just be because it's java
