The laptop was “real” in the sense that it was a real laptop and belonged to him, but it changed hands a bunch of times between Russian assets and parties with clear intent and motives before being “released,” and there’s no way in hell to prove it wasn’t grossly tampered with, so it almost definitely was. It was a manufactured propaganda tool by Russia/Trump at a time when the public was being given 400 pages of damning evidence that Trump’s campaign was collaborating with Russian assets.

This is an increasingly bad take. If you work in an industry where LLMs are becoming very useful, you would realize that hallucinations are a minor inconvenience at best for the applications they are well suited for, and the tools are getting better by leaps and bounds, week by week.

edit: Like it or not, it’s true. I use LLMs at work, most of my colleagues do too, and none of us use the output raw. Hallucinations are not an issue when you are actively collaborating with the model and not using it to either “know things for you” or “do the work for you.” Neither of those things are what LLMs are really good at, but that’s what most laypeople use them for, so these criticisms are very obviously short-sighted to those of us who have real-world experience with them in a domain where they work well.

Look at all the graphs for the other races linked on that page. They all follow the same curve. Homeownership across the board followed that curve, not just for black Americans. You have an obvious agenda.

They ran Harris because she was the only viable option when it was clear that Biden was not. They did not run Harris thinking she would win at all, they ran her out of desperation because the incumbent was flatlining. It was not a choice, and it certainly was not one based on demographics. It was a “Hail Mary” and it failed as it was likely to do from the outset, and everyone who was paying attention knew that, yet had no choice but to hope for the best.

I see, so you just use the term “NeoLib” to mean “people you disagree with” rather than “people with neoliberal political beliefs”

“Is it right?” Are you kidding? Yes, it’s obviously a better alternative than invading another country and killing people. It’s one of the ways we have learned, as a species, to avoid massive wars and losses of life. If you’re advocating for war as an alternative then you should fuck off and die so you don’t get other people killed in the process.

“Celibacy” isn’t a command. It’s… a noun. It doesn’t work.

Dems controlled both houses of congress. What stopped him from pushing his public option plan then?

Manchin and Sinema, mainly, but also the 60-vote filibuster threshold. Forgot already?

then why are people worried about project 2025 and “dictator on day 1” Trump?

Because reasonable people don’t want the president to attempt authoritarian rule in order to progress his agenda. The fact that it is possible to do that is a big fucking issue and yet here we are, watching it happen with Trump. That doesn’t mean Biden should do it. It should not [and cannot be allowed to] happen at all.

Pagination query params can be in the URL params, but that’s not normal at all. They’re pretty much always use query params, and it’s very reasonable to do so. Filtering, search, and pagination all typically go in query params.

Well, yes. TypeScript mitigates one big problem with JavaScript (type safety). That’s why it exists. It’s a dumb idea to choose vanilla JS over TS if you’re starting a new project today, IMO.

Whether or not you should use TS as your core language is debatable and situational, but in terms of using TS instead of JS, yeah, that’s a no brainer.

With this Supreme Court and federal judge stack? Who decides constitutional issues? Who’s going to challenge the Supreme Court legally? The majority GOP senate? Or the majority GOP house of representatives? He has all three branches of government. Who can challenge all three legally? Anyone with a chance (vast wealth) were sitting behind him at the inauguration. In the sense of “checks and balances,” he literally has unchecked power.

X sucks, but Threads is even worse. 99% of everything I have ever seen on Threads is pure distilled engagement bait, and half the time expanding replies gets stuck loading. I wish I were exaggerating, but I’m not.

I’m generally on your side of this argument but the number of non-voters is hard to quantify yet clearly had a major effect on the outcome, and a lot of the anti-Harris rhetoric from the left demotivated people into not voting at all (as opposed to voting third party). The third party vote counts are somewhat irrelevant to this line of reasoning.

What do you think being offended means, dude? Because this person you’re replying to is not offended. You ignoring the content of the comments and just hammering on really sounds like you’re offended, though. Because that’s what being offended sounds like.
