I saw a Navy chaplain when I was going through some tough times in the Marines. I told him right off the bat that I was an atheist and he didn't push any religious shit on me. He just talked to me and worked with my command to get me seen by a trained therapist. Other Marines I knew had similar experiences. Chaplains are officers outside the normal command structure and are trained to provide services to everyone regardless of their faith or lack there of. Also a lot of military members are at least nominally religious so it makes sense to have someone to coordinate religious activity, especially overseas where there aren't local religious institutions.

I don't agree with Mike Pence on almost anything. I don't respect much about him other than his conduct during the insurrection. He refused to get whisked away in a vehicle to god knows where and stayed in the capitol where a mob wanted to hang him to certify the election. He had physical courage at the one time he needed to and that is the one thing he has done that deserves to be recognized. Otherwise fuck him.

Neverwinter Nights 2 and BG2 had 9th level spells in a real time with pause game and it worked fine. So it is totally doable, especially since BG3 is turn based.

Unlike enlisted personnel officers are not on a strict contract and can request to resign their commission at any time after their initial obligation. He requested to resign his commission late last year and the Army accepted his resignation in January so he will be honorably discharged in June. He will miss out on the pension that kicks in after 20 years of service however.

A lot of games didn't work properly if turbo mode was engaged. They would run unplayably fast, have crazy game breaking visual glitches, or just crash. A few of my games had a splash screen reminding the user to turn off turbo mode. The turbo button was mainly there to speed up processing for mundane tasks like spreadsheets or for compiling code.

I was stationed at MCAS Futenma on Okinawa. The US shows no mercy when it comes to crimes against the local residents. Usually the Japanese legal system gets them first then after they spend time in Japanese prison they face the military legal system. We get a whole week of classes when we first get to the island about Japanese culture and they make sure to impress upon how fucked you will be if you cause an international incident. Even minor offenses such as underage drinking are dealt with very harshly. There were two Marines from my squadron sent to Corrective Custody Unit for drinking underage at an off limits bar.

I like 1990's Japanese ska punk and I had hit a wall finding new bands since there isn't a huge English language community for that stuff. With spotify I found ten new bands the first day. I do try to find a way to own the music I like through Bandcamp or through the Amazon MP3 store but I don't know of another way to discover new music as efficiently.

Also no healing spell requires an attack roll. In 3rd edition there were some spells that were Save (Harmless) that you could choose to try to make a saving throw to resist them. Once I was playing an Athar who would resist any spell granted by a deity but it was me rolling the dice not the caster.
