Agree 100%. We're literally living through the 6th mass extinction event.

The worst part is that it's solvable, but not profitable, so it isn't happening.

Anyway, gotta get back to work...

I still worry that even if DAC becomes really efficient and cost effective, it will only encourage large corps to pollute more. They will claim that since the emissions are removed anyway, they can keep pumping CO2 into the atmosphere without consequence.

People should be rioting though... How else do we stop our own government from kidnapping and killing our neighbors?

The only other effective solution I can think of is citizen sabotage, but that's like rioting in the shadows.

While I agree that non-violent is the way to go, I think we need to change our definition of "violence."

Property destruction should not be considered violent. Especially when precautions are specifically taken to ensure that no people were harmed during act of property destruction or sabotage.

On the other side of things, actions such as destroying wildlife habitat or polluting the air, water, and soil systems of the Earth should be considered "violence." It is violence towards all of humanity, and towards life itself.

Considering how much rail regulations and budgets have been slashed in the past few years, we will probably end up using it as a feature. Safety hackers will need to make sure trains stop on the correct place/time, because there are only 1-2 employees for a 300 car train.

Or alternatively, tune in and subscribe for 'Twitch Drives a Cargo Train!'

They usually include drug overdoses as suicide on these statistics, so it makes sense that Nevada and other rural areas are so red.

Americans are the 'immigrants' on this continent, and they are using their customs and border enforcement to arrest people who are natives to the continent. It's ironic that a team designed to deport immigrants is arresting people who have been here longer than the country has existed.

Let's see them try to keep up with incarceration rates per 100k people. USA is truly a world power in that regard.

I still think it's about money, especially considering the size of the prison industrial complex. It just so happens that capitalism encourages cruelty when it's profitable.

Their tanks may be old, but at least their citizens can buy a train or tram ticket for less than 1 euro in many cases.

I'd rather have that in my country than newer tanks.
