but also, yeah, it's been a nazi haven for a long time - it's just becoming a lot less quiet about it
less than half of what I'd hoped for...
catching strays out here, my dude. sounds like a really positive take on something people find divisive.
cooking for others is so special - I'm glad your family shares that. my parents don't cook, and certainly never took an interest in meeting most of the people I dated. but now my partner and I cook for them. they don't like everything we make, and pick around the stuff they don't want. everyone's happy, so it all works out.
oh my Eru, he's making a Tom Bombadil feature film!

it's a simple Freudian slip; you mean one thing but say a mother
it's also important to be a good guest. a host isn't a servant. they didn't make anyone do anything; they offered food and shared their home, and that's pretty cool.
also, doesn't sound like in-laws. "dated" implies casuality, and also past tense.
Others had only trivial barriers to that access, such as requiring that a visitor sign in with any email address
my company made one of these AI apps, and when I signed up I realized there was no email verification.
so, I made a fake user, with fake credentials, and an email that doesn't even exist, and it worked. oh, and it has default editing permissions, so I was able to change data in it.
it won't allow the use of an email outside of the company domain, but here's the kicker: there's a pop-up notification that tells you what domain to use.
it's been 3 weeks, and it hasn't been deleted yet.
damn, that could have been so good. a series of unusual mysteries and sci-fi stories, all subtly linked to the central macguffin laboratory, or whatever government conspiracy is "behind the whole thing".
they already have a whole alternate dimension to play with, so it doesn't need to be contained to a single midwest town. they could set seasons in any part of the world, and make it a huge web, with a hyper local focus with new casts.
the more I think about it, the worse it gets; they had a perfect setup and didn't go for it.
"War isn't Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse."
"There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them - little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander."

Twitter? I thought this was Ipswich!
definitely pitching this to my DM for the upcoming Eberron campaign; we've been watching Legend of Korra for vibes and inspiration, and the recaps in that show were perfectly fit for the setting
