Something like 200 KWh. Charging that in 10 minutes would be along the lines of 1 MW. It's roughly the output of a 50 metre diameter wind turbine. A medium sized nuclear power plant would only be able to handle around 1000 of those at the same time.
That's an impressive feat but I doubt they expect the 10 mins to be practical. If they could implement this battery at good value it would be a game changer. Though the capacity seems much higher than most of us need so it makes me wonder what impacts on the environment it would have. As we all know, electric cars are better but are no saints with a somewhat competitive emission amount over its lifetime.
That's the problem with averages vs medians. It completely overlooks wealth gap.
Here is an example. Moderna CEO made something like $500 million last year. If Moderna had 1000 employees, that would mean the company's average employee pay is $500,000. And that's before even adding their pay to this average.
The less we push against Russia now the more aggressive it will become in the future. Playing nice has led the world to a global crisis and Ukraine to a bloodshed filled with war crimes.
Russia's government is evil and there's no middle ground between good and evil that isn't evil.
I quite liked Wales' approach of taxing second homes significantly more.
A large part of Wales' housing issue comes from English retirees buying up holiday homes. To the point people were accusing the government of discriminating against English people for the tax against properties that aren't main residences.
