Return to office mandate

Are they failing? The past twenty years have seen a steady shift in laws, political representation, and social views towards their ideology. I don't think they expect to win everything all at once in a sudden orgy of hatred. They're just dissolving the foundations of civilized life to draw us back down into medieval life.
Unfortunately I do believe this is correct. The rest of the world dabbled with cars but their urban design and infrastructure for centuries was pre-automobile. They merely shifted back towards their diversified transportation origins. The Americas, by contrast, began their massive development just as the rise of the automobile began. It is the core and soul of the entire fundamental urban and societal structure. Without tearing that out, which would almost necessitate starting over from scratch with most cities urban design, they are trapped with single (or low) occupancy transit as their only reliable means of transportation.
I named my cat Dax after Jadzia. He's a boy and we kept his first name from the adoption centre, so now he's Nelson Dax - I thought about this very scene when we chose the name. Such a heartwarming exchange
The pandemic dramatically improved my life. My income doubled, I got a way better career job at a workplace with permanent work from home. I finished a certificate I was working on. No one in my family or friend group got seriously ill with it or died. It was a tragic time but I'm finally living the life I always wished I was - I totally get it. I can't really talk to anyone about it. I'm terrified work from home will get clawed back. My wife took an in office job and I hardly ever see her anymore with her work hours.
This is shockingly insane but I burst out laughing when I checked and saw you did indeed create the community specifically for this. It's a great opener... or terrible? Or greatly terrible. I don't even know. Yikes
I agree that level scaled enemies are immersion breaking. I also LIKE being able to return to the starter area and feel like a demigod sometimes for a sense of progress. It would be nice if some areas had plausible reasons to level scale. Perhaps an organization rivalling the PC which is well organized and funded, that is forced to equip it's troops with ever increasing gear to counter your ballooning power. Something like that would allow for scaling in some places and not others.
I hover briefly in the air, next to my bed, and hold up a sign that says "uh oh" before I fall a couple feet to the ground onto carpet. I might hit my head on the nightstand, but I feel like I got off easy compared to most other people.
I'm not sure the article convinces me this'll be more than a reskin of stellaris, which is my most played game of all time, but given that this is my favourite IP of all time...? Can't say I won't buy it on launch day.
What about our inaction on climate change? We've made very small advances and it threatens the fundamental existence of organized human society within a single human lifespan of right now. Everything else is rather insignificant by comparison. Rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic
I follow all the trek Lemmy communities, I've seen every episode of every trek ever made multiple times, and I've played 3000+ hours of Stellaris... Yet I didn't buy this game which seems like it was made specifically for me. It just came across as a heavily lobotomized copy of Stellaris. Super disappointed in this game, it could have been a license to print money if they'd just... Tried. This is WAY worse a game than the star trek mods for stellaris.
thanks for using Leebra!
