Even if this event is a bit old, I think I see the point in reposting it. A right-wing liar will repeat a lie often enough, and that repetition will embed that idea in people's heads.

This is truth, and it is so incredibly relevant to our situation right now. The economics of the world are such that people need to be paid for the content they produce. Having a direct relationship between me as the consumer and them as the producer is the way we don't get shit like all of the ad-based spyware that surrounds shit like Facebook. The elements discussed here are just the natural steps to perform an action outside of the standard workflow, and are actually of reasonable difficulty. Saying "you are free to do it, but I'm not going to help you" is the exact opposite of DRM.

Given their desire for a nearly-console-like experience, they put in a bunch of effort into the Proton compatibility layer to get Windows games to work here. It's not perfect, but it really is a very good experience at this point.

I personally do have a fairly powerful Windows desktop, but the vast majority of my gaming is on Linux on my Steam Deck now.

There is always the chance of entering a discussion with someone who disagrees with your "obvious" assertions and also may have the ability to change something. It is always good for someone to actually go and look to prove your point with real verifiable evidence instead of just going "well obviously I'm right" and ending it there.

I could see this being a lot more practical to carry around. I have a Brompton and a Uscooter. and while carrying them around is doable they are certainly not small to have on you.

Something backpackable is probably subpar to ride for long distances, but likely easy enough to just always have on you.

When the volume of potentially relevant and interesting content is enormous to the point that a standard human brain can't possibly hope to filter through all of it in reasonable time, the algorithm makes plenty of sense.
