This is such a bizarre time to be alive
@lemmy.today
That's what I thought when I initially signed up but I'm realizing we lack diversity baaaaaaad. I'd wager 90%+ of users are tech people and we are infamously antisocial, which is rough for a "social media"
When Siri was made, they wanted to give the image of an AI assistant even though it was barely able to schedule a timer. Make it feel futuristic.
I think now that there's true generation capabilities they want to emphasize the fact that this thing is not human & does not have a gender
I bought an Android specifically because iPhone doesn't allow sideloading. If Android bans sideloading, there's no viable options left until Linux phone develops to a usable state.
The win is that they're not banning sideloading, obviously. Personally I don't gaf if I gotta wait 24 hours as long as you can do it.
Ummmm. Buddy. Microsoft can't train Copilot from a briefcase, you're not being very community-oriented.
And hackers can type really fast so they can guess your password even if it's something complicated like GoPanthers123!
Hackers do use Linux, but only Kali Linux. And Tor browser.
Windows 10 is more secure because they added security (to stop the hackers). And epic OneDrive login so all your files can sink.
I get where you're coming from but I think this ban is based around intent. While Roblox is definitely an evil ass company, their ultimate goal is to make entertaining games and make money off purchases in those games. Also, they've already implemented ID checks for voice chat and even then it's quite heavily moderated.
The ultimate goal of social media is simply addiction, data harvesting, and selling that data to everyone who'll pay for it.
Might sound weird but I feel like it's cuz their website is boring. Debian doesn't do anything revolutionary, either. It's kind of boring to run.
I've tried every other major distro but always come back.
thanks for using Leebra!
