Yep same here just checked google to see if I was crazy, upvotes were orange. My email app and Apollo had collapse/archive swipes in opposite directions so instead of collapsing a thread I’d upvote the comment all the time, can’t forget the giant orange bar that showed up

My two kids have dual nationalities (korean and another). The oldest the korean consulate in my home country for reasons we never understood they registered his name on his passport. So when filling forms, buying tickets etc using his korean ID his given/first names is actually his middle name. This has caused a lot of problems, specially when compared side by side both of his IDs.

For the youngest one we filled the paperwork following the same pattern of the oldest, which the korean consulate guys said was correct. However, when his passport arrived his name was … for which the consulate workers just scratched their heads and said uhh yeah anyways…

Edit: another example to follow OPs topic, my wife is korean and her passports list her name in both Hangul (korean) and Roman alphabet. Korean with Last/First + “Middle” and Roman as first + middle + last. Her IDs abroad use the roman name.

I’ve tried, many times. And almost always the hotels own website either didn’t have rooms available or the price was higher. So i stay with booking.com. Luckily never had a problem, and I like to book several free cancellation hotels til I have the travel dates set. But yeah I really wish I could get better prices directly, I even called a hotel in my last trip to japan and they had higher prices

No biggie, chinese is hard as hell. You take a week off studying and there goes 100 characters from your memory. I didn’t want to sound rude, my level of Chinese is being able to read these characters

Our countrys delivery apps are ruined by this. I remember reading that the apps actually encouraged vendors to use AI to make the pictures prettier, but of course with how easily the tool has become they are just straight out just puking AI food. Like 90% is just slop

I try to avoid restaurants with AI photos but at the same time I like to support small mom and pop joints, and I know that the ones with good actual photos of their foods are also the big restaurants

It took me years to realize that my childhood Casio keyboard played Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and that’s why I liked the song

There’s a macaron shop near my work that has no business (!) being that large, downtown. It has a very fancy shopfront and website, I’ve called to pretend to order one time and it was quite expensive.

I’ve never even seen cars/vans/bikes/whatever taking away their order there (it’s delivery only).

It’s super weird, macarons are not even that popular around here, theres another better known macaron place that is tiny compared to this one

As the youngest sibling I grew up watching my brother play games. From super mario on nes to ocarina and later quake before I started to get any good (and not scared of everything). So maybe watching some streamers reminds me of when I’d just sit back hugging a pillow watching my brother and his friends play
