I'm doing my PhD in Germany, everyone here is employed with salary and has a 1-3 people office. At least in computer science.

My dad bought an amplifier in the 70s, I still use it for my TV audio system today. Super solid stuff.

Chill. That's the German version of it, that person is probably German and did not know/notice the difference.

(Sorry for the off-topic, but this resonated with me a lot in a completely different context. If not wanted, please remove.)

My fiancee is chronically ill and you really notice the friends who "get it" and those who don't. I've had this feeling with some of them and your description hits the nail on the head. As an example: at the moment she really can't go to social gatherings, the people who get her illness still invite her so she can decide for herself, the ones who don't get it don't invite her because "she can't come anyway".

(This is not a white cis guy implying that transitioning is like an illness, just that that the behavior of other people to a change in social dynamics reminded me of it.)

I thought Anna, but I think that is not too common in the US. So I think I'm agreeing with this the most 😊

(Just noticed: maybe they are not in the US as well. Even I as a German think US centric online, weird.)

Don't! That causes the overall consistency to be runny. If you want stronger coffee flavor, brew stronger coffee 😊

Thanks for the heads up, I did not know that.

Could you link the study if you can find it? I could not find it after a quick search.

I would really like to know how different factors affect this. I think, without knowing, we kinda did some things that might mitigate this to a degree: We normally have very little food in the feeder. It typically is empty after a day or two. Once the feeder is nearly empty we clear the remaining kernels, stuff they don't like as much (and I guess, the poop with it). Would love to know if this actually helps and if they discussed other factors in the paper.

Edit: Just seen the link posted (how did I miss that) and it does answer why my points don't matter. Don't use flat feeders ever.

Wait, which calls do you mean? We're hosting or own free mattermost and I've never had that problem. We're pretty happy with mattermost overall, but it's also a small tech-savvy team.

Many people follow something like this reading order, or just read by publication date. For the death series I'd argue it's not that important, others depend on each other a bit more. It's definitely not a problem to just go in a random order though, he always tried to make the books stand on their own. In some ways I would argue it's way more fun to go randomly, but if you are easily confused by timelines you might not like it 😊
