Hallows was the first LE soap I ever got, and it’s long been one of my favorite scents. The Glissant base is better than I remembered.

The challenge was actually easier than I expected. I used the GUTL method but without water for the first load. Then proceeded to add water and load as normal. I think the GUTL is sort of a cheat for today, but, hey, I didn’t make this up.

I was really torn about using this today. I’ve long said this is the nicest smelling unscented soap ever. But it’s also apparently tea scented. I don’t get the tea scent, but that doesn’t really matter since it says it on the webpage and that means the judges need to accept it.

Take that, suckers!

Now I gotta say something nice about /u/hugbckt. Well, he gave me this bottle of aftershave for free. That was pretty damn nice. I’ve met him twice and he’s actually nicer than he comes across online, which seems impossible but is true. He’s been a great help during the LG planning, and was instrumental in many of the changes we see this year. We’re lucky to have him!

I’m so happy I chose this setup for AA. This is my first tub of CGC, and $darkwing is allowing me to really get used to this A+ level base. And the MM14 is something else, one of my favorite razors in a long time.

I shaved with this soap not because I wanted to, but because I needed to knock down a unique soap to make sure everything is working as intended. Yay for testing things 5 days into the contest.
