I've been trying to get off of that ass site for like 10 years now but got sucked in to some of the smaller communities and as everyone knows, for hobby info, reddit is unmatched (unfortunately). It tracks that big subs have tons of people who don't give a shit, anyone else moved to discord or here or kbin or tumblr or tildes or raddle or squabble
I haven't used reddit in a week and a half (I started early) and once boost shuts down I won't even think about it anymore
Tears of the Kingdom because I basically just purchased Breath of the Wild a few months ago and haven't finished it.
Baldur's Gate 3, because my friends want to play it all together and so I'm waiting for them
Right now my favorite movie is Synecdoche, New York. I don't think I ever felt so deeply connected to a piece of art before. It's morbid yet oddly comforting, and my brain chemistry has been permanently altered after seeing it.
I'm in my Kaufman era which began with me and my wife watching Being John Malkovich (which is also pretty damn good imo). And I'm obsessed. He's reinvigorated my love of cinema in a big way! I feel embarrassed it took me so long to watch his stuff but I think it came to me at the right time in my life
I loved this movie to pieces but I have a complicated-but-ultimately-loving relationship with my mom so maybe that's the piece that's missing for all the people who don't quite understand the appeal. It felt very universal though?
Definitely one of my faves.
how did he write that
Maladaptive daydreaming. I didn't know the word for it until I was like 17 (like 8 years ago) but I did it my whole life and was very ashamed of it
Being at MarineWorld (now Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) to see the orca, and the poor creature was just laying in the water motionlessly. my family was there and they were like "aw, it must be sick :("
I think this might be the article for it: https://www.sfgate.com/...
I probably have slightly earlier memories but I don't actually know which ones are older so I stick with this one
It is, the bottom section is "grounded" in reality as in there's evidence and it's real
yeah if you like those shows the owl house is 100% in the same vein. The only negative is that some of it might feel a little rushed (because Disney decided to shorten it) but it's a banger
I'm using it right now; I was having some issues with Jerboa. the interface is nice, it is a bit choppy when scrolling sometimes, and it did crash when I initially opened it but I'm willing to give it a shot
yeens đ€ enbies; it's just meant to be
kinda badass ngl sounds like an attack from an old anime "step back or I'll unleash my twin gazelles on you!!!"
Their stated reason being that currently they don't feel like they have the moderation tools to remove rule breaking content should a bunch of bots and spammers flood in
I feel like that's reasonable. Lemmy is still in very active development, and still building up a lot of features. Also, their defederation isn't meant to be permanent either
Uncle Ben's was my first successful grow so I'll never shit on it but I'm glad I have my pc now đđ
hello from pawb.social!
I'm a maladaptive daydreamer as well but mine is more of a 2 leaning into a 3. I don't have as much control over my daydreams and need music and/or motion to really get them in gear. It's kinda like watching them on a secondary screen (like at a computer) while you're working on the first one? I suppose?
I want to ask how you determine two areas are connected but I suspect the answer may be far above my head
fellow owl house enjoyer spotted
thanks for using Leebra!
